all you kobe jockers. need to bow down to your master. the lakers suck face reality. you can blame it on the roster and injuries and all this. i am sure you are going to. there is no way in heel that mj would let his team loose 7 in a row. do you agree? kobe can not carry a team on his back. he can get his numbers but thats about it. the guy need to create more offense for his team by drive and kicking. Did anyone see melo man handle kobe last night. most overated defender in the league. the guy trys to get all up on people , but if anyone breaths on him he crys like a biotch

This isn't about longevity or career stats ... this is about who was the greatest over a short period. At their best, who was the best??

For my two-cents, I say Earl Campbell from 1978-1980, when he rushed 3-straight rushing titles (1,450, 1,697 and 1,934 yards) and won a Offensive POY each time. He also got 2-MVPs and carried a horrible Oiler squad to 2-AFC championships (both times losing to eventual SB champion Steelers.

So, I say Campbell. Other contenders could be Eric Dickerson from 1983-1985, Barry Sanders from 1996-1998, Terrell Davis from 1996-1998; O.J. Simpson from 1973-1975, and Ladanian Tomlinson from 2004-2006.
Gale Sayers, Walter Payton and Jim Brown also had some pretty amazing 3-year spurts.

i just think that we have taken our game back with him at the healm, i was all for the Beckham dropping as i thought he would bring fresh young blood into the team, and actually make a winning team, aaron lennon or wright philips would have been a brilliant replacement for Beckham as they are both exciting and attacking players, but instead he plays Gerrard out on the right where he doesnt look comfortable and where he is at his least effective. Same old same old, we dont eveb look like our playeers have any confidence under him! any thoughts, cheers, Emma

If Kevin Harvick has to cover the Shell logos on his uniform because SUNOCO says so; will Tony Stewart have to cover his entire (Home Depot) car at a track like Lowe’s Motor Speedway? How about the Ford 400, will they still allow Chevy to display the bowtie logo as they dominate the track?

I think the whole concept of turning right scares nascar fans. It too much for their brains to process. F1 cars are faster, better looking, WAY more technologically advanced, and have WAY better drivers. Seriously, you people only make yourselves sound stupid over there, and need to stop. The only background it sounds like you have on F1 is from that hillbilly movie "talladega nights". And if that is true, I almost feel sorry for you. I know most of you are just uninformed children. You can have you precious nascar, and us intelligent race fans will stick to F1, where the REAL drivers, cars, money, and knowledge is.

Does it have to do with playing basketball? It can't be genetics because their parents can't all be 7 feet or taller and many people in China are shorter than the average height, whereas Yao MIng and many other centers are about a foot taller than the average nba player.

Would the top-ranked men's slowpitch softball team have a chance against an assemblage of major league baseball players? I think they might. Slowpitch is a pretty different game than baseball. It's all about bashing the ball over the fence. Defense and other nuance skills are a joke. So you have a bunch of huge dudes who specialize in crushing the ball. Well, come to think of it, baseball has a number of huge dudes who can smash a softball over a fence 230 feet away as well. Maybe they would have a chance.
