i just think that we have taken our game back with him at the healm, i was all for the Beckham dropping as i thought he would bring fresh young blood into the team, and actually make a winning team, aaron lennon or wright philips would have been a brilliant replacement for Beckham as they are both exciting and attacking players, but instead he plays Gerrard out on the right where he doesnt look comfortable and where he is at his least effective. Same old same old, we dont eveb look like our playeers have any confidence under him! any thoughts, cheers, Emma

gerrard is central or mid field for England and in my opinion this is where he does the most damage to our opponents! centre or mid-field is his perfect bag, so why take play him where he is less effective for England?

tuart may lose his job saturday, at least you know he would have passion in the game, also agree about shearer, it is obvious he is destined for management, but throwing him in with England may be too much too soon but could he do any worse than McClaren if he could handle the pressure, as for Becks, bring him back McClaren may have to eat humble pie here cos the team definately need him,

To Anthony i disagree, we have one of the most expensive teams in the world, definately the most expensive mid-field in the world and arguably the best striker in the world they are not lack-lustre they lack good management and direction!

Am loving the passion that this question has found, we are just the fans and we all would do a better job, i do however disagree with Da, its not the players spitting out their dummies, god help me i wish they would, maybe we would get somewhere then!

who would we replace the boss with . he probably has the best individuals in the world , but because of prem league commitments we never have enough time to gel as a force . i believe we do miss Beckham , especially with the pace we now have , i,e wright philips, Lennon as you say . Becks passing skills would be a great help to these speedy guys, and with lampard and terry at the helm we really should be not lacking confidence, brill question , but i have,NT the time to put my thoughts down in writing . c"mon England.

The squad is hampered by internal politics
There are a few players that decide everything, from who plays where to who gets in. McClaren just goes along with it.

We will never win anything while this is happening, we need a manager that is prepared to make decisions regardless of how many other players throw their dummys out of the cot

Either way mate its all too dam cozy in the England squad. Useless for creating the drive and passion to acheive anything. Are they happy to just be well paid losers?

I new when they first appointed McClaren that it was a bad move... Ive never seen him as a good manager! Yes i think he should get sacked The dream manager for England would be Jose Mourinho but i cant see that happening!

emma - you are so right, he is a total t****r. and i agree with what all you said. how about Alan Shearer or Teddy Sheringham? these are 2 guy`s who have the brains to make england great again. McClaren has no idea. and don`t it show!

Definately useless as an international coach. You can tell he worked under sven. When he is sat in the dugout he wears the same clueless expression as sven did. It must hurt a bit knowing that he only got the job because Phil Scolari turned it down

of course i agree
i have to admit first he had me fooled
but dropping becks
listen why did he drop becks it was nothing to do with football he was obviously jealous of his lifestyle
swp why was he picked
he should pick players on form and not reputation

have a nice weekend
