If you look at the schedule and record of Syracuse and Duke they are remarkably similar. The RPI is the only glaring difference that I see between the two teams. Aside from the fact that Duke dropped their last 3 games of the season, and Syracuse won 4 of their last six including a win over Georgetown. They have the same record, Cuse was 10-6 in their conf. while Dook stunk it up to 8-8 in theirs. Both conferences were strong, in fact there were more ranked teams at the end of the season in the Big east than in the ACC. So the Committee is saying that Duke is among the top 36 teams in the country while Syracuse is not in the top 65. Add to that only 5 at large bids in this tourney, and I think specail consideration is being made for Dook. I have heard the tradition argument but Cuse has won a championship recently while it has been a while for dook. It just seems like a sham to me. What do you think?
