JB, are you serious?
Ronaldo's talents won't be noticed as much anywhere else but in Manchester? Ridiculous statement.
The last person to play in Manchester to win a major individual award (Ballon d'Or or FIFA World Player) was George Best in 1968.
In most cases, the majority of the players that have won have been playing football in La Liga or Series A.
In the end, my point is that, if anything, a move away from Old Trafford to Barca or Real would only help Ronaldo's reputation. La Liga being a league that relies more on creativity and less of strength, a move towards Spain would only make sence for Ronaldo; for many reasons. Has anyone here actually been to Manchester? For a person use to Lisbon, surely there is no comparitive paradise in Manchester; ie, rains all day, food is crap. It is a business, and I know that, but today's footballer, for the most part, is a mercenary, and there are things that Barca and Madrid have that Manchester simply can't match.
Anyway, I am a Man Utd fan, and the last thing I want is for one of our best players to leave. However, he well, sooner rather then later. I would be very, very surprised to see Ronaldo still at United when the next World Cup rolls around.
The most importantly thing is that we, as United, force Madrid, or Barca, or Milan, or Juve, to pay way over the odds on him.

He won't leave Man Utd. any time soon.
Man Utd. has the strongest squad right now and Ferguson won't let that change. The only alternative is to find players who are better than Ronaldo in winger positions.
But, there aren't that many choices then. May be Torres from Spain but Man Utd. is better off keeping Ronaldo.
Besides, Ronaldo's doing a fantastic job for the team.
Sir Alex has Rooney, Smith, Saha, and Ronaldo to trust.. Ji Sung Park is not quite there yet.. and Giggs is good but his stamina isn't that high

well ronaldo said that he doesn't like the weather in England, but I can't see him in a barca or real jersey in the next 4-5 years. He's been in top form this season and there are no signs of slowing down for him. He'll continue to score and give United the W week after week. At this point he's too valuable to the club and he's contributed so much already for SAF, so he's not going anywhere in the next 4-5 years.

Cristiano Ronaldo will leave in the next 2-4 years... Mark my words..
He comes from Madeira, which is a paradise.. sunny warm climate, filled with flowers which are ever in bloom...He hates the weather in England, not to mention all the hassles he gets from english fans, (NOT UNITED FANS OF COURSE), united fans know how good he is...
english fans will drive him out of Manchester straight to Spain, where the weather is comparable to Madeira, and people will appreciate his amazing skills.

Wittmann - YES, it rains in Manchester all the time. Yes, the food is crap. I can add more. Yes the Victoria station is crap. HOWEVER, Manchester is got Sandy's, the best message parlour in the world. For that reason, I can't agree with your assessment on Manchester.
Back to the topic - Ronaldo is going to stay in Manchester until he is at least 30. He will become the best mid fielder in the world whilist playing for United.
Thank you.

well nothing is forever. but i reckon c ronaldo will stay with man utd for the next 6-8 years. he will only be allowed to leave man utd if he is not performing anymore...
it doesn't make sense for him to leave man utd because his talents will be recognised more while playing for the red devils... he won't be noticed as much elsewhere in europe...
he is man utd's best player of the season... he will achieve greater things ahead...

if his contract is over he will probably lave, he has the desire to play in Spain, it would be hard to keep him at united for the rest of his career, i suggest you just sit back and enjoy this season.footballers career are uncertain.
