My area has one indoor place that is about 5 miles north of the city. I was thinkign about putting in about 4 units within the city closer to the schools and baseball fields. How profitable would a system be?

My uncle has run one for the last 8 years. Saying that they're not cash cows would be an understatement. They hardly make any money. Most of the time he just breaks even. Especially if your only going to have 4 cages.

Now having said that you can make quite a bit of money off them if you actually know baseball. If you offer lessons in your facility you can make alot of money. He has three hitting and pitching instructors that he lets work there for a fee. They charge kids $70 an hour and they have lessons 5 hours a day 5 days a week almost year round...you do the math.

If you could offer lessons and get that kind of clientel then you can definately make alot of money off of it. If not, you'd just be throwing away your hard earned cash. Like I said the machines only pay his bills on the place every month, no profit.

(I think he sticks with it just because he has a son that still plays, and he just likes being around the game.)

Thats a good Idea since they would be easy to access. The question you would have to find out is how much are you willing to pay for the them and how quick are you looking for a return on your investment.
