The KKK, Al Quida, Skin heads... basically my question is; What is your viewpoint when religious beliefs lead to violence and death? Does it makes you question your faith?

God created man in His own image, but Adam and Eve only ate plants (Genesis 1:27-30) as did all the other people until after the Deluge (Genesis 9:3).

So what I want to know is, does God still have the herbivore teeth of Adam and Eve? Or did He give Himself new ones when He changed ours?

To have a big bang, you have to have material (matter) to go boom. All the matter that was available at the time had to come from somewhere? Also, when and where did time start, before or at the time of the big bang? My thinking is, time is relative to matter. The first atom represents the beginning of time. If you could, keep it simple. I understood the bang theory well enough to ask the question, which is about it. Thanks

I had the following question removed for a violation stating that it was NOT a question. On appeal it was overtunred and EVERYONE has their points back, including ME and I have closed the question and awarded the Best Answer. So NOW, do you believe that a valid question with a valid appeal CAN be successful?

Islam is a word meaning surrender to Allah and Allah isn’t the muslim Lord; instead Allah is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, my Creator and yours, the same God of Moses and Abraham, Budda, Jacob and the tribes, and John the Baptist and Jesus and Mohammed peace be upon them. Islam derives from the word “salamah” meaning to be at peace, security , safety therefore a muslim is a person that surrenders to whom; Allah. A muslim is a person that submits and obeys the law of Almighty Allah. Through the submission, a muslim obtains peace for themselves. You see the formula is very simple. When I surrender to the law, when I conform to the law and the legislation which is intended for me that means that is my natural disposition therefore I become a conformist. I am in order and harmony and by being in order and harmony, the things I am supposed to receive come to me. So when that is fully understood, it’s natural to be a muslim and unnatural not to be.
Islam has six beliefs; Belief in Allah, Allah’s angels, the books of Allah, the messengers of Allah, the Day of Judgement and the supremasy of the divine will.
Muslims have five basic duties they must perform known as the five pillars of Islam. They are
1.Shahadah (belief that Allah is the only One worthy of worship and that Mohammed Peace be upon him is His last Prophet
2.Establishment of prayer
3.Payment of Zakah (charity)
4. Sawm (fasting of Ramadan)
5.Pilgrimage to Meccah to all whom can afford it

A close friend of mine and i have been discussing lately if Hitler was a true genius just corrupted from power, or just an idiot, and we've both come up with the conclusion that if he hadn't corrupted under power he would have been a great leader. What other person could convince an entire nation that one denomination of religion was terrible, and that everyone associated with them was horrible too. Hitler could be defined as popular when he was younger. He was a born leader. I'm not saying I support anything Hitler did, on the contrary actually, but I'm curious to see who else sees him as a political genius.

If God is all knowing, he knew Satan would rebel, or knew of the danger with his ambitious character. He made him the beautiful and most powerful cherub, for a reason.

God predicts he will lose, and that also he will try and prevent Christs birth in Revelations, then into the fire he goes. If Satan is an angel, no doubt intelligent, he would know he cannot stop Christ, and he wouldn't even do the invasion of Earth to begin with, knowing in the end it will help Earth. To invade anyway knowing he is part of a divine plan, would be doing Gods work! Do they need Satan to destroy and play bad guy so you can wrap your hands around Jesus? After all, a good slave is one that gives in by free will.

Even God cannot ultimately predict what Satan will do, if he has free will. So obviously, the 2 cannot go hand in hand, unless Satan is forced to do what he does, or he was SOLELY made for the purpose to be an enemy, and then burn in a fire pit for ever and ever. Talk about a shitty destiny.

is an atheist[or anything really] and has been for a long time, but they find they want to convert to Christianity, but they are too afraid of what people think?? This would be awesome if you could tell me a book like this!! I have a friend that's an atheist and he told me that he actually wanted to believe in Christianity, but he feels like he's been too deep into atheism to get himself out.

THANK YOU!!!

Hey, not trying to start a huge argument or bashing session here, though I think it will happen anyway. I'm just posting to get your thoughts on the way Christians are looked upon today. As it is the Christmas season I have been hearing loads of stuff on the news about people wanting to stop schools from mentioning God or having anything to do with Jesus in their decorations and songs. As well as for workers to keep any religious decorations off their desks (One man had to remove his Bible from his drawer) I also rarely ever get wished a Merry Christmas anymore (since its politically incorrect) and am watching nativity scence's be vandalized (baby Jesus being replaced with a pigs head) Its funny to me since I'm only 20 to see how much things have changed from when I was a child. Its become so wrong to have anything to do with Christ since it seems to be disrespecting so many people. It really bothers me to see that everyone else has the right to do away with religious (Christian) theme

I've often gotten the comment we're sexist, being a feminist myself, this is a hard topic for me to deal with due to the fact you have to dig deeper than the surface to understand how we are not sexist, which takes too long to explain to someone who does not understand, and even the simple logic behind it often alludes a lot of people. Waht do you say when you get this comment? or do you say anythign?

Heaven is allot easier to understand. Life is a test and those that past the test are rewarded with eternal happiness in heaven. Its easy to understand because God is supposedly loving and merciful. But why hell? You dont do what I say you`re gonna burn? Seems like God is petty. Does he send people to hell to show how macho he is. The more appropiate punishment would be for people to cease to exist.

I am curious as to what Christians believe is the reason, that God has 'done' all of this?
What is His purpose in 'creating a universe, and planets?
What is His purpose for 'creating ' Earth?
And finally, what is His purpose for 'creating' us?
At best we are rebellious, and don't listen to Him, so what does He get out of all of this?
AND why did he 'do all of this,' and then leave us on our own, to guess, and to try to figure things out for ourselves ,and end up asking questions like this one?
I don't believe he just got the urge to ''have a family'', so,please. help me understand, Why he did '' DO all this''??
Thank You.

The Bible tells us clearly that only sinless and righteous people will go to Heaven. No sinner will ever be alowed there!

Why was Jesus who was sinless had to be babtised by John the Babtist, and who was John the Babtist and how did he fit into Gods plan of our redemtion from the sins of the world?

Jesus taught his 12 disciples that, if they forgave sins, then the sins would be forgiven, but that if they did not forgive sins, then the sins would not be forgiven.

Jesus also taught that, if we forgive sins committed against us, then our Father in heaven will forgive us our sins.

Why then do some still teach that only God can forgive sins?

How is it that one denomination can quote bible verses to fit its view of things, and another denomination can quote other bible verses to disprove the first group and enforce its own view?

Yet both groups will insist that the bible contains no contradictions. What's up with that?

Ok, so I am a nonbeliever. But, since Christians seem to care so much about people's sexuality, I would like you to take a look at this very recent post and please answer him if you can find it in your heart to say something nice and not be condeming.....
This concerns a boy who has learned he is gay and because his mother and his church are so against homosexuality, he has decided to end his life instead. While many of these type posts are merely seeking attention, he does not appear to have that mindset. His previous questions have mentioned his homosexuality and how much he feels like God hates him.
This is why I am so against Christians preaching on this subject.....but as for now, I would simply ask that you leave good, loving messages to him. Thanks in advance!!
