And not go to a regular 4 year college? Just go straight to the seminary right after high school?

Yes, we have a number of men in our seminary who did just that.

That is how most priests are trained, and it usually takes 12 years,from high school.

Other orders (like the Belgian CICM) require you to go to a regular college or university, as your seminary training continues.

Other orders, like the Opus Dei, the ordain only professional men, so you should already be a college graduate before can be ordained.

yes! i have a few friends that are currently going down that route right now, and they love it!! another friend of mine has a brother who is actually in a seminary high school, which is like a prepatory for those who are discerning at an earlier age. just keep praying God will let you know where you are suppose to be.

I seem to recall that they require a four year degree first, but why not just ask a priest?
