Most of you offer me a promise, something that is very tempting. A solution to all of life's problems. An eternal life full of love and no remorse no regrets.. A chance to be with dead loved ones, to be happy for eternity.

But what frustrates me is, that it is a lie. That it is false, and you have not done the research to realize this. You try to spread such "love" to me an others when it is false.

You have not tried to examine your beliefs in an honest manner and continue to tell it as truth.

I've tried to follow your religion. I've researched it. It is false, and you are lying when you say it is all true. What frustrates me is that you speak as an authority when you haven't even researched your religion with an honest approach.

I have recently read some of the stuff that speaks of the Roman Catholic Church as being of pagan origin, the Whore of Babylon, that they force celibacy on the priests and several other things of this sort. I decided to check out what the catholics had to say on the matter and discovered that many of the arguments against the Roman Catholic Church by Protestants are now being used by atheists against Christians in general.

Please see the works of; Alexander Hislop, Jack Chick, Dave Hunt, and Loraine Boettner. It will be found that many of the atheist arguments against Christianity are directly taken from the works of these Christians. Kind of amusing though that they have to rely on us to give them the ammo to fire at us. We should be ashamed.

Once again, who is the #1 enemy of Christians?

For real. Not that I believe in any of it, but thought it was funny regardless. I guess the Muslims are right, he does exist in the Bible.

What happens to "them all" in Luke 17:27,28?
What happens to "them" in 1Thessalonians 5:3?
What happens to "them" in Gen 2:1...James 1:15?

Who are "them all" = "this generation" of Adam(s)?
Who are "us all" = "the generation" of Jesus-->Christ?
Why is there no them all, no them vs them, in us-ward?

(Acts 13:39) All sins can be forgiven.
(Mark 3:29) Cursing or blaspheming the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.

If those are words of God how come He contradicts Himself?

Ofcourse there are thousand of contradictions in the Bible but lets just focus on one.

Can you Christians explain to me how God is not contradicting Himself?

NOTE:

I have not studied the Bible thoroughly and I am not going to.
I am taking it out of context.
There you go. Don't bother telling me to study the Bible or I am reading out of context.
If already knew the answer I wouldn't be asking you Christians to help would I?

Give me your best shot in explaining just one contradiction without trying to avoid my question or comment on my grammar or something.

...that some Christians believed that the pope was the anti-Christ; why would they think such a thing? Seemed like quite a nice guy to me. Satan incarnate? That's a little over-the-top don't you think?

Then why is there in almost every gay relationship a masculine partner and a feminine patner. Why does one lesbian dress, act and copy the mannerisms of a male, and in the homosexual realm of 2 males one tries to employ the mannerisms of a female. Wouldn't they be turned off by their partner acting like the sex they are not attracted too?

Islamicists will tell you that Jesus was not crucifed, indeed He didn't die.And if you wanted to find out about the crusades;archeology is banned. If you wanted history for laughs you might want to try Muammar Qaddafi,he claims that Shakespeare was an Arab; his real name was Sheikh Pia.
Atheist on the other hand know a lot about history of the Church, they seem to know about the flat earth history , the Galilleo affair and the Spanish inquistion although the Church has admitted mistakes. They can swear that Jesus never existed but Mohammed did.Strangely they do not know much about Soviet history and do not believe that Darwin influenced Stalin,Mao or the other homicidal maniacs.

A circle is a two dimensional object, not a three dimensional one, as one could see roughly equal distances into the horizon in all directions, anyone who conceived of a flat earth generally assumed that this flat earth was circular, and as such a "circle" does not imply that any text was correct in predicting a round earth.

(Of course the idea of a round earth itself outside of religion is much older than most believe, and the concept of a flat earth much less prevalent, but that's another issue entirely.)

Romans 13 1-3

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgement upon themselves.
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.

Would a fellow-Christian care to take a shot at explaining this one to me? i mean, the American Revolution, the Underground Railroad that helped slaves to freedom, every war protester---not to mention those who resisted hitler and stalin and mao---were they sinning?

You guys just don’t seem to be doing enough. I mean, I quite often get emails from Christians assuring me that they are not like the dreaded ‘fundies’ but then that’s it; that seems to be your only attempt at alleviating the problem – by distancing yourselves from it and hoping it will go away. Well that’s not good enough! Is it asking too much if you guys would put in a little more effort towards ridding our great nation form this terrible affliction of Christian fundamentalism?
