An example would be shane claiborne.
Try searching the name Shane Claiborne.

He is a good example of what happens when a person really takes the bible seriously.

Short examples.
Gets church leaders angry for telling the truth that God doesnt support bombing other people.
Goes to Calcutta to live with Mother Theresa.
Goes to Iraq WHEN AMERICA WAS BOMBING IT.
Lives with the homeless people.
Gets arrested for feeding homeless people -- YES THATS TRUE.
Goes to court many times for following Jesus' teachings

There is a book out called Irresistible Revolution by that author.
Guess where all his book sale money went? Charity.
Theres plenty more than that, but I honestly wish that people were more honest with their questions..

meaning, when you get an answer like this,,, you actually take it seriously, so you can see that I am telling the truth.

Hope you see the truth of what Taking Jesus seriously results into. The way Jesus meant for it to be.

Honestly, dress modestly to go to church. It is bad enough when they dress like that on weekdays for strange men to see, but at church, when men are supposed to relax and worship God, how on earth can they when they have these distractions around them!?! The one place away from the world where they should be abel to be away from sensual lusts! They insist on being told a bible verse that clearly objects to an article of clothing. If their wearing of the clothing causes a man to lust, isn't that enough? Witnessing is NOT bad in itself, it is just when people don't do it with the right heart, approach, and attitude.(or, are not even saved)

Hope this is the answer you wanted!

Blessings!!!

We are all human and make mistakes. It is not for I or any other Christian to judge you and if we do so we are not acting on God's will. In Matthew Jesus says prayer is to be done in private. People witnessing are doing it to be boastful and that is not what true Christianity is about. I do my best to live a life I can be proud of and if anyone asks why I am so happy I'm happy to tell them but it is not for us to accost you in public about your beliefs.

Hate others. They say "hate the sin and love the sinner" but this is a load of bull.

Nobody can hate something that someone does and not have it spill over into hating the person themselves.

That is the very nature of hatred, and it's also the very nature of human beings. Especially with groups of people they don't know personally, such as gays for instance.

So Christians, just stop with the "hate the sin but love the sinner" crap. Stop hiding behind it, and come on out and hate right out there in the open if you're going to hate, at least it would be honest that way instead of hypocritical and slimy.

Well, this kind of ties in to witnessing, but I wish they wouldn't use fear and/or guilt as a method of conversion. They don't do anyone any favors when they resort to that.

Why on earth would you ask that, of a group of secular readers. Does it matter what it is that we do or do not like about your religion. Doesn't it say in your Bible, seperate yourselves from the unholy? Did God become a activist in what sinners prefer. I may sound cross and cold, but truly. Do we get a vote?
There is a part in the Bible where the story telling stops and the contract begins. Yes, the Bible is a contract. "I am God, and everything good comes from me. If you want it, these are my rules. Heaven or damnation?" Now I don't see any surveys in there.
I wish Christians would quit being limp risted.
