Ok, so I am a nonbeliever. But, since Christians seem to care so much about people's sexuality, I would like you to take a look at this very recent post and please answer him if you can find it in your heart to say something nice and not be condeming.....
This concerns a boy who has learned he is gay and because his mother and his church are so against homosexuality, he has decided to end his life instead. While many of these type posts are merely seeking attention, he does not appear to have that mindset. His previous questions have mentioned his homosexuality and how much he feels like God hates him.
This is why I am so against Christians preaching on this subject.....but as for now, I would simply ask that you leave good, loving messages to him. Thanks in advance!!

Phree: I agree with you that it is often attention seeking. I am a big R&S answerer and I 'thought' GOOD christians in this forum would leave loving messages to someone who says that he feels abandoned by god and that god hates him. While I realize that not all christians are nice christians, I would HOPE that no christian would seek to harm a person with their words...just for the sake of 'winning' the argument. Perhaps I am wrong in that assesment, but frankly, I would rather him see 40 answerers than 5....at least he knows his question mattered to others.....if he is going to do it he will anyway....if he is seeking out attention...I am ok with him getting it in that case. Just my opinion!!

Okay, I don't know where you got your information from. I read the question and he didn't mention being gay, he didn't mention church, he did mention suicide though.

So I left encouraging words about God's love. Which is what Christians should be preaching about anyway. Not saying that homosexuality is okay, but telling people that God still loves them just like He still loves the person who is addicted to drugs, and just like He still loves the chronic gambler.

I'm sorry to hear that you are not a Believer.

Jesus said, "Those without sin throw the first stone"

Just because he is gay doesn't mean God hates him, God just doesn't approve of his lifestyle.

In Romans 1:24-32. God does not make imperfect people. I would say he really needs God in his life, it can change. A man at my church was gay, no one treated him any different.

Through prayer and a lot of assistance's he is now married and has two children and still attending my Church.

Perhaps these words will find comfort for him and on his way to a much better life through Jesus Christ.

"May God Bless", and I will keep him in my prayers.

OK so i will leave kind words but in doing so i will also telll him my outlook on religion and the issue of homosexuality. In that being said, most people that talk about suicide do not actually do such a thing. It is the quiet people that cannot deal with life in general. GOD does not hate anybody, however he doesnt condone homosexuality because of the procreation. if everyman and woman were gay where would you be today? See where I am coming from. Population would not exsist.

I am very rarely convinced when someone logs onto a computer to state that they will kill themselves. Not sure why you feel the need to be involved and send people his way, when most likely some people will not respond in a nice way, so you could very well be doing more harm than good.

I just want to say that I am a Christian however he should not allow those judgemental Christians get the best of him they need to remember that they are not perfect it says.."And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eyes? Matthew 7: 3 I hate it when other Christians do this because we are supposed to show what Jesus is like through our actions, and be a light and a warm love to a suffering world.
I want to say that as a Christian I still love him and for the church to neglect you are your time of need when we are supposed to carrying one another's burdens is despictable and thar church and any other Christians that are hateful are working for the devil's plan to steal , kill and destroy, which is contrary to the plan of Jesus to save .We have no idea what he is going through and what he has gone throught.
He needs to remember that
" For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

So, because of one very unfortunate child, your choosing not to hear anything more about it? How did the boy, "learn" he was "gay"? Should the church change it's whole belief on this subject? The poor kid felt guilty because he knew it was WRONG. There's probably more to this story, too. And we're concerned about the sexuality in this country, because it infects our kids too, and leads to things like THIS. And this little guilt story doesn't change a thing. Try being part of the solution, not the problem.

I don't believe God hates him. But I do believe people are confused and therefor it is easy for them to be biased. It would be better for those that are responsible for this to have a weight tied around their necks and be tossed into the sea than for this precious creature to end his life.

union between two people, no matter wether they are the same sex or of different sexs is an act of love;
love is not a crime ,you dont have to report it to any one
god is love wether your christian buddhist islamic atheist, the pope or oprah winfry!
violence, expliotation of the weak and greed now we are talking bad!
condemnation of love is acrime against humanity!

god does not dislike or like any thing , god is love
, men and women make their own miseries because of their own actions, they hurt each other when they should love their brother.

First of all, why put false lies in his head is GOD doesn't say that? What to know why you folks don't believe in GOD, because you deny and do NOT want to obey his commandments! God specifically says that that you can not be gay. Your lucky i don't have the verse in hand to prove in it your face, but frackly, I know that you know that verse.
