You say there is only one God, yet your Bible states otherwise. Do you really know what you are believing in, or just accept what someone else tells you to believe? Here is a quote from your Bible (Corinthians 8:5-6):
8:5For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
8:6 But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.
- It clearly admits that there are many Gods, but that you only worship one. That there are many Lords, but you only worship one (Jesus). So what is the deal here? Has someone lied to you? It is quite apparent that YOUR Bible states there are other Gods out there, as it was written by your God and must be taken literally and as the truth.

I like to do alot of reading and research. So deciding what label to give myself is fustrating. If I had strong beliefs that rules are rules it doesn't matter who died on the cross to was away those sins for me to continue having to ask for forgivness. What if I believed that we should all be punished according to our sin in order to regret and seek forgivness. (like a child we must be taught there are conciquences for our actions) and that life after death is set up as stages like mythology or Dante sets for purgatory. And that there is only One God and he has assigned generals to govern our existance and mold us into what we need to be. Yes he is merciful, yes he is forgiving, but for every action there is a reaction that we don't consider when we commit our sin. We just let it go like a balloon up up and away. What if..... Jesus is the devils way of making fun of us before God. What if we made him bigger than he was suppose to be heck in christianity he is one with God like an equal

I notice that there is a LOT of fighting on here, particularly between Christians and atheists. There is also quite a bit of Muslim-bashing by Christians, but I don't often see it going the other way.

So why does it anger you when people don't believe as you do? If you know what you believe, why do you argue about it on here? (I'm not trying to convince anyone not too, I'm genuinely interested in the reasons why you get angry and/or argue).

JW's have their own special translation of the Bible, the New World Translation (NWT); does it remove all references to hell ?

I believe in the Bible, so I believe in hell in some form, but since they believe in the Bible (even though theirs is altered by significantly by non-experts in Koine greek), why don't they believe in hell ? Or am I mistaken ?

Suppose that in my religion women
should stay at home and not be
involved in politics. Just suppose.
Would it be right for me to vote to
repeal the 19th amendment because
of my religious belief?

At the council of Nicea, there was so much left out and banned and burned, have you ever looked into what truly were the original documents, or do you just accept what has been spoon fed to you? If God wrote it all, then how is it that a human or group of humans decide what was to be doctrine?
This is also based on Christians stating how much influence Satan has on earth, so why would you believe that Satan did not have influence in shaping your religion? Logically he would have.

This is something that is vital to a Christian if they are to maintain a healty relationship with God.A Doctor needs the right information to heal those who are sick, without it many of their patients would die.In order for them to get the right information they need to know where to find it.It is much the same for a Christian. If they lack the ability to get the right information they will find themselves sick, and many will die.

We have so many children coming from non-christian countries to study in our schools in America. We must introduce them to Christianity and Jesus, the true faith of USA. USA is a Christian nation and athiests have no right to live here or be called as citizens.

Don't you think they are prossibly the one who will turn their back on you if you get pregnant? Do you think they are responsible for their acts? Don't you think they will say to you "it is your choice", as if they mean "it's not my business"?

Food for thoughts!

My curiosity stems from the earlier question to Athiests about their views on the meaning of Christmas and singing Christmas carols. How many consider "Deck the Halls" to be a Christmas carol?

Since there are so many different religions (Gods) why don't we hold elections every few years to see who will be God Almighty? This could coincide with a Supreme Religious Leader (instead of a Pope, for example) and the politicians could all seek advice from the SRL and blame him/her when things went wrong.

Perhaps many of you can answer this question. It has
been proven that most Christians lead much happier,
and fuller lives. I mean can you imagine, with the
likes of Madison, Darwin, and more, how they might
have felt while trying to ponder how did so many things
came to be. When you cannot prove that nothing, came
from something. Yes. That is pretty depressing.
Unless you are stupid enough, to think that you came
from an explosion, then you may consider otherwise.
The human spirit is proof, that there is a Divine
Being. That's right. Because the spirit is infinite.
It has no real shape or size. Like the wind. You
can't prove that it actually is there. It is just something,
that you can feel. So my question is this. Why do
Atheists have higher rates of depression ? Best answer
wins. ~~~

How can a non-human, a mustard seed have faith?

Source:

Jesus Christ, God, Founder of Christianity

If a mustard seed has faith, then it has a soul, and all mustard seeds and plants go to heaven which sounds like Jesus Christ believed in Zen/other Asian non-profit religions/whatever?

I live in a predominately Catholic country (I;m English) and wondered why the catholic faith ommitted the 2nd commandment (I think it's the 2nd one) that refers to worhshiping false gods, carving and worshiping statues in his likeness etc? From my understanding they actually split one of the other commendments so it still all reads as 10.

Their seem to be a lot of areas that are against the teachings of Jesus ie why do they confess to Priests in order for them to wipe their slates clean? only Jeuss can do this.

This is not a question with a hidden agenda, I'm just very curious is all.
