It's not anger but a little frustrating when people here simply won't accept that I know myself better than they do. They are so arrogant as to think they know what I do or don't believe better than I do.
I've literally had people here say that I really do believe in god and either don't know it or won't admit it. And I've had people say that there is no such thing as a 'lack of belief' and that I actually believe that there is no god.
And honestly I really don't want people to think or believe the way I do. Whatever someone wants to believe is fine with me as long as they aren't expecting me to believe the way they do. If people here were talking solely about theology i would have left after 10 minutes and never returned.

The main thing that angers me is when I receive vitriolic responses from "believers" when I question their beliefs. They tend to tell me I don't know anything about their religion, and as an atheist, I'm bitter and hopeless, etc.
What none of them realize is that I understand EXACTLY why they think the way they do, and that I used to be EXACTLY like them. But I have never met a "believer" that knew the first thing about being an atheist.
Believers, every last one of them, attempt to dodge and ignore logic and critical thinking, if it threatens their beliefs. They flatly refuse to critically examine their beliefs, and then explain why the criticism is wrong.
The reason, of course, is because the criticism is right.
It makes me angry when I see them doing this, knowing that they would rather believe a lie, and feel good about it, then accept the truth, and accept the consequences of having that knowledge.
That is the fundamental difference between a believer and a non-believer.

The ignorant bashing is what makes me angry. If the facts don't fit, make some up. Islam is actually a peaceful religion. If you believe in your chosen faith, why then must you destroy or attack another's? Why did we invade Iraq? There were no Iraqis involved in 911! We as Americans have learned to walk blindly into an inferno, just because some corrupt politician says too. Same with the church. I don't care who they worship, so why do they feel the need to force me to worship their way? Kinda reminds me of the Jehovah gang that used to come to my house and tell me I was going to hell unless I joined them. Guess I'll have alot of company!

I am a christian but I don't angry. Like you said, if we believe what we believe than why argue. Personally, I think it has to do with control issues. Or pride, no one wants to admit they are or might be wrong and alot here on R&S is people just playing games with other peoples minds.

I try very hard to respect and accept other people's beliefs or lack there of. Tolerance is something that I have learned over time. What makes me angry is when I, as a Christian, am termed, ignorant, intolerant, uneducated, misled....the list can go on ad infinitum (this means without end).
I am neither ignorant, nor uneducated, nor intolerant. I take my faith and beliefs just as seriously as most whether, Christian, Atheists, or Muslim. That is what makes me angry. People not showing the same respect that they request be shown to them.

I think some people have very strong beliefs but don't have the reasoning or communication skills to express themselves, or don't have the wisdom to know when to let it go when people don't listen to reason.
When people don't listen to me and I get upset it is usually because they are unwilling to have a clear, thought out discussion. For example, when I forget to do something, my husband starts talking in a voice like mine, interrupting me and making up little stupid reasons that I could have forgotten. When he does this, his voice only gets louder as I try to explain. So it gets frusterating that I believe I have a valid reason for something and I don't even get a chance to express my thought process.

I have in my profile a list of fundies that ask questions directed at non-believers, and yet that audience is blocked from answering. The result is a sanitized listing of people that agree with the original statement (non-question,) and the value of this forum is sorely diminished.
If that's how people that disagree chose to participate - so be it - but I'll speak out against it when I am asked.

It's actually more complex than it may seem. You see the Christians are trying to take over the USA. The Muslims are trying to take over the entire world. The atheists are stuck somewhere in the middle trying to be as much as a pain in the butt as possible in order to slow them down as much as possible and convert people to logic before a nuke goes off in their backyard.

I would not say it is anger. I get annoyed at those who misrepresent what I believe, so most of what I do on here is correct that. I do enjoy debate and challenges to my faith and to others, because I like to learn about their beliefs and share my own. I am a happy guy, no road rage here.

It angers me when people say things about my beliefs that are designed to be offensive - ignorance irritates me, but when you go out of your way to offend that really gets my goat. I also have a very hard time with people who can't agree to disagree. If you disagree with me, that's fine, but if you go into a tirade about why I'm wrong and you're right, and I'll never be right, I take issue.
