Could it be considered a religious cop-out to claim that anyone who leaves Christianity behind was never a real Christian to begin with? Why/why not?

Are there any arguments to support the ex-Christians were never truly Christians claim other than the argument that an ex-Christian could only turn his/her back on God because he/she was never filled with the Holy Spirit?

How do Christians know they are truly filled with Holy Spirit, other than by not leaving Christianity behind?

If the idea that ex-Christians were never truly Christian is true, why did the Holy Spirit choose to make these people false Christians?

If the ex-Christians were never truly Christian premise is true, how can one tell the difference between a true Christian and a false Christian before the false Christian leaves Christianity?

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

"So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us."

(it's in the Bible, I just forgot the verse.)

in Old Testament, please open Deuteronomy 4 : 35,
"Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord is God; there is none else beside Him."
In New Testament, Mark 12 : 29,
"And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord."
Iigave two examples of Christians misunderstandings about the trinity concept.those examples clearly shown that God is the only One and there is no other God except A God.
please open Matthew 27 : 46,
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
if Jesus lived to be crucified, why did Jesus reject it and cried for help from God so that he could be free from being crucified. that means Jesus was not ready to be a saviour.
then,i want o ask all of you something, were the persons who crucified Jesus angered by God?

After this story first came out, there were a couple of self-proclaimed Christians who posted here exclaming that this had to be an Atheist. Those expressions were followed by some horrific insults toward Atheists. I couldn't believe some of the anwers given.

So, now that the truth is known, I wonder if any of those zealots will come back and apologize to Atheists for the things they said.

Politicians oppose almost all legislation meant to protect the environment? Why do they call global warming a farce? The polar ice caps are melting, so this is evidence to me it is a fact.

Is it possible to be a Christian but not believe that the Bible is inspired by God? I believe that the Bible is historically accurate to the best of the writers's knowledge and that Jesus died for my sins but I believe that the Bible was just written by fellow Christians and just like humans, it is full of errors and misconceptions. I put my faith in Jesus Christ; not in a book. Any help regarding this dilemma would be greatly appreciated. God bless.

When you accept the existence of goodness, you must affirm a moral law on the basis of which to differentiate between good and evil. But when you admit to a moral law, you must posit a moral lawgiver. That, however, is who you are trying to disprove and not prove. For if there is no moral lawgiver, there is no moral law. If there is no moral law, there is no good. If there is no good, there is no evil. Explain?

Interviewer: Do you have any thoughts on the Catholic pedophilia issue? While the Vatican has handed out hundreds of millions of dollars to cover this up, do you think they’ve gotten off too easily so far?

-ROSEANNE: Most all religions are pedophile cults, I think. The Catholic Church will go completely broke before everything is over.

Perhaps those out there who enjoy harshly criticizing, attacking and judging religious (or nonreligious people) out there might want to read this article. Extreme hate along with weapons and other issues can lead to incidents like this. The hatred and judgment of another religion or nonreligious people is wrong, as wrong as racism, colonialism, homophobia, a hatred of the homeless or any other prejudice.

Do you believe that our souls have the power to hurt or cause pain to others physical bodies? I am NOT talking about witchcraft or anything done purposely or done in malice!

I am talking about two souls being so connected that when one person's soul "speaks" so loudly, that it affects the closest to them, so strongly that it not only affects their souls, but pours over (for lack of better words), into their physical bodies, causing them pain, dysfunction and other physical abnormalities?

Do you see an undoubtable connection to religion, science and life as we know it?

[What you should know is that what inspired me to ask this question is purely based on one of my most favourite quotes of what Albert Einstein once said: "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."]

Would you agree with one of the greatest geniuses to ever live or would you beg to differ?

(taken in to account that Einstein was indeed Agnostic)

(any respectful and logical thoughts would be appreciated)

Even though I have not officially withdrew the right hand of fellowship from C.O.G.I.C, I am no longer affiliated with the organization. I was not in a rebellious state when I woke up and realized that what I was apart was not "Godly". The things that I have witnessed broke my heart and made me think ill of an organization that, a little over a year ago, would be proud to be a part of. I think that one of the problems may be that there is so much emphasis on things, and "looking blessed", that the fundamentals, like building a strong prayer life, being that living bible and living what you preach were somehow lost in commerialism and a disdain for education(Imagine being a pre-med major at a church like this, whew!lol!) is one of reasons why people either "fall off the boat" or return to streets. Just curious, that's all :)

I dont believe in god, or think that there is a god. But at the same time, I realize that no one knows, and that its stupid to think that you do.
