Because you are supposed to seperate Church from Government. Santa is more of a cartoon character than a person.

How can you really compare the two. I assume you are Christian. Santa is a fictional character, fun for kids. The Post Office does have religious stamps. I am a Christian, but I also know that not everyone believes in Jesus and I respect that. I am not quite understanding everyone's bashing of Santa. My little girl has the best time believing Santa comes. I make sure though, that she knows the main reason for Christmas, what is means to us. That is first and foremost. I sometimes wish some Christians wouldn't try to be so uptight and just have a little fun.

Do they? They have a lovely Madonna and Child stamp this year. But the Holiday Knit ones are pretty cool too.
