To be 'Christian' is to be 'Christ like'...as much as possible. Christ believed, and taught, that the scriptures are inspired by God. If you don't believe that, you are not Christian. You can't know anything about Jesus unless you believe the Bible is accurate, and the only way it can be accurate is if it is inspired by God. God dictated to humans who accurately transcribed what God said. At least one copy of scripture is accurate and inspired. King James had over 600 of the worlds' top experts in Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, Greek, History, etc, on the committee he used to study various manuscripts, fragments, etc, of his day, and come up with the english version of the Bible now known as the King James Version. It is the most accurate. Others were written to add, or subtract, from Gods' word, and so change the meaning of doctrines. Or they were written to make things simpler to understand...which only let errors creep in. No other version had as many experts working on it. If the KJV is full of errors, then you may as well say it is all a hoax, and cease believing any of it. Christ is revealed by The Book. If you disbelieve the Book-The Bible-you disbelieve Christ. Haul off, and make a decision. Do you have faith enough to believe-especially in The Bible-or have Atheists, Agnostics, etc, bullied you into feeling stupid for believing in The Bible? Time to choose.

The Bible is the written word of God, science has proven through the more than 5,000 manuscripts that there are no errors other than a few differences in spelling. There is no document on earth that is so well preserved.
Do you think God is not capable of inspiring the writers of the Holy Scriptures ? He would not be God if that were so. He has left us something that he speaks to us through. When you pray, you speak to God, and when you read the Bible, God speaks to you.
I know there are many translations, I own most of them, I even have a Geneva Bible that was only in print between 1560 and 1644, And they all say the same thing.
I don't worship my Bible, I worship YHWH and His only begotten Son Jesus the Christ, and this I do with the help of God's Holy Spirit, because I am not worthy nor do I know how to worship the Most Holy God Almighty creator of all that is or ever will be.
God be with you,
William, a bond-servant of Jesus

perhaps some of your confusion comes from the fact that the interpetations from Greek to English are sometimes a bit at odds with the truth. The bible is NOT a history book and it was not written in chronological order.. it was written over a period of 18 hundred years and by men in several different countries and who mostly did not know each other. Some of Gods words are literal and some of it is symbolic.. you have to know which is which.. and if you don't know how to read the bible then it can be difficult to understand sometimes.. the answer to you question is YES you can be christian and not know beans about the bible.. it was never an instruction by Christ that you must read the scriptures.. He simply said.. accept me as your Savior and believe that I am the son of God and follow Gods laws.. and put no other Gods before me.. those are the rules that Christ set and they are easily understood.. You don't have to be a bible scholar to understand those instructions.. and you don't have to read the bible to be saved.. you are doing good.. don't let anyone disuade you.. Gods Blessings for you..

The key I believe is how one becomes a Christian, and what you choose as your authority.
The Bible doesn't say you have to believe all of it to be saved.
The Bible does say that if we confess our sins, God will forgive us (1 john 1:9) and if we believe in His son, we won't perish, but will have eternal life (John 3:16).
If you only believe those 2 verses, and ignore the rest of the Bible, I believe you'll be saved. If you are becoming more like Christ, ('bearing fruit' as the apostle Paul wrote) no worries. But then again, the best way to find out about Christ is to read what was written about Him.

If you truly believe in Christ Jesus as God Almighty and you acknowledge that He is Perfect and Holy, how can you then say that God was not capable of writing His Words to us exactly as He wanted them to be written, using any means possible to do so, even imperfect human beings? If you doubt His written word, then do you also doubt the words He emblazoned on the two stones which we call the 10 commandments? If you doubt that, do you also doubt the resurrection of Christ Jesus? How much simpler would it be for God to use humans to write His Word to us, compared to raising human flesh from the dead? Where do you draw the line? God is Sovereign, He can speak through humans or He can cause them to write His words down. It is called, being "Filled with the Spirit"...Gods Spirit. To believe otherwise is to doubt Gods power to fulfill His plan of salvation for all humanity. God Bless You...Peace.

How do u believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross? by depending on the History or your pastor's preaching or by depending on the word of God (The Bible).
History is written by Humans. But Bible is written by the men of God, who were directly inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Bible is the Mind of God. Read It. Believe It. Obey It. Share It. Protect It.

No. Because once you are born of God, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise. The Holy Spirit is the Inspiration & teaches us the Truth of the Holy Bible.
The anointing who we have received of Him abides in us, and we need not that anyone teach us, but as the same anointing teaches us of all things & is truth & isn't a lie & even as it has taught us, we shall abide in Him. 1Jn2:27.
The Holy Spirit teaches us what Jesus said. And leads us in the bible & washes us in His Word. And brings to mind what is Gods Word. The Holy Spirit confirms the Word of God. And Gods written word has many verses of Gods promises for us as His Children. It is the Holy Spirit who gives us blessed assurance that we are His Children & can pray to God 24/7 in spirit & truth. This promise is written in the bible. And the Holy Spirit confirms this is truth in our new born spirit. If you say the bible is full of errors, you are denying the Word of God. The Holy Bible is Truth. The Truth will set you free. We have to trust & obey God. There is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust & obey.
I know, because God healed me by the overfilling of the Holy Spirit, then led me to this verse. Then led me in His Word. I had to read the bible much right after I first recommitted to Christ. And the Holy Spirit led me much in the bible. I had much confusion & many questions. God clarified my mind & answered my questions in His Word.

The fact is that Jesus confirmed the Bible. You can't believe Jesus without believing what he believes: the Bible.
