When you accept the existence of goodness, you must affirm a moral law on the basis of which to differentiate between good and evil. But when you admit to a moral law, you must posit a moral lawgiver. That, however, is who you are trying to disprove and not prove. For if there is no moral lawgiver, there is no moral law. If there is no moral law, there is no good. If there is no good, there is no evil. Explain?

Good and evil, moral or immoral, right and wrong... All of it is of human creation, thus it's different to everyone.

Pretty much, We believe we are the good people in the Iraq war, and the terrorists are the evil/bad people. However, if you look at it from their view, they believe that they are the good people, and we are the bad/evil people.

It is all based on human teachings, laws, etc. Even before Christianity and all those lovely religions, people were creating morals, codes, laws, etc without the idea of a spiritual being in mind. People [the lawgiver] create the laws, laws create morals [or lack thereof], morals/lack of morals create the basis of the concept of good and evil.

Basically, it all depends on the person or people you ask. One will say shooting deer is wrong, while another will say it's right. One will say human euthenasia is evil, another will say it's good. Someone will say killing people is an evil thing, while someone else may think it's a good thing. So really, no one person holds the EXACT same beliefs of Good and Evil, or Good and bad, or Moral and Immoral, etc etc.

There is no universal good and evil, the concepts are always changing with the times, it is all relative. In the past there have been cultures where there were plenty of justifiable cases for murder, and it was not looked down upon, even cultures were in a general sense the act of murder was not looked down upon, it was just an everyday part of life, people who murdered in these cultures would be viewed as evil.

We are shaped by our experiences and genetics (nature vs nurture) in how we view the concepts. Those growing up in abusive homes would obviously have a vastly different set of moral guidelines than those who grew up in a loving, caring environment.

One man's trash is another's treasure, what's good to you might be evil to me, and vice versa.

Good & bad is a part of how human survivalism. I'm tired of the lies & the blanket over the world's eyes. When babies die do they go to heaven or hell? They're born with a sinful nature and they can't believe in god & the bible says the ONLY way to get to heaven is by BELIEVING in Jesus - so the Bible basicly screwed babies. Also, Noah didn't travel the world picking 2 animals of each kind and put them in a boat & Jonah didn't get swallowed by a fish and spat out - what fish can swallow a person and the person live in it and pray in it. Wake the **** up people! The Bible is a lie & religion is the cause of war! Preachers need their pulpits stolen!

The Bible writers had a hard time trying to figure who is the evil doer in the world!

2 Samuel 24:1 (NIV) Again the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, "Go and take a census of Israel and Judah."

The Bible writers want to blame Satan for what God is doing!

I Chronicles 21:1 (NIV) Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.

As you can see, it is enough to say that God did it! He is in charge! Who do you think that caused all the evil in the life of Job? God Almighty, of course!

Job 42:11 (KJV) Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over ALL THE EVIL that the LORD had brought upon him:

Well, you sure didn't. There does not need to be a moral law giver. It's very simple. There is an emotion called empathy. Empathy is the ability to put yourself in some one Else's shoes. So imagine how they would feel. That's all it takes.

The Word of the Lord: Isaiah 45:7 - "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

Good and Evil are totally based on perspective. I may see Robin Hood as good because he re-gains wealth for the oppressed poor from the haughty nobility, but hey, stealing is stealing.

Right.

If something is good, it can't be evil.

Which means evil does exist; it can be the absence of good, or good can be the absence of evil, whatever you like best.

You really need to go watch TV or something.

Or, maybe go play with the kiddos. Maybe help the little wife with dishes.

You've been by yourself too long.
