sound logic,
the free will counter argument does not hold up since free will and all its possible consequences were also created by grandpa -oops, I mean God,

Clever question.
The whole concept of 'good V bad' comes from an early understanding that each thing requires an opposite in order to exist.
Therefore, something becomes what it is by being what it is not. E.g. White is white because it is not black.
The God V Satan concept comes from a need to believe in a paternal guide for this dangerous world i.e God, and obviously He can only exist if He has an opposite.

Who invented the printing press? Johannes Gutenberg or his parents?
God created or "gave birth to" an Angel who of his own freewill and accord became Satan and Devil (meaning slanderer and opposer). Jehovah God did not create the bad guy everyone loves to hate, the Devil took on that role himself.
God does not share that title because He's the opposite. Jehovah tells his children truths that lead to everlasting life.

Satan was not originally evil. He was a beautiful created being, covered in jewels, originally named Lucifer, and he made beautiful music in heaven. His pride got the better of him and he decided that he was going to be greater than God. When he did 1/3 of the angels joined him. When his fall came, they became the demons they are today. He was cast out of heaven and took the fallen angels with him, and has been trying to destroy God's people ever since.

God created the angels to have choice just like us. God cannot lie, Hebrews 6:8. Satan chose to sin.

First of all, Satan was created--therefore he has no father. The Son of God was begotten--therefore He does have a Father.
We being a created being, cannot claim The Father as our Father until we've been born again--and have in a sense became a new begotten being.

You are on very thin ice of accusing God of being unholy...
Apparently, you know nothing about Satan (Lucifer)...
Lucifer was the Anointed Cherub [angel]. Anointed means to be set apart for Gods Divine purpose. It also means "bestowal of Gods divine favor", and "appointment to a special place or function."
Lucifer was created perfect in all his ways, but iniquity was found in him. It was not put there by God. Lucifer created it.
God had given Lucifer a certain amount of power and authority. But he perverted that power. Lucifer wanted to exalt himself above God... rather than "just" being the Angel of God... convincing 1/3 of the angels of Heaven to conspire with him to overthrow God.
Once Lucifer defied God he became corrupted and became Satan.
( Read about this in Ezekiel ch. 28 and Isaiah 14 )

Just think, the Great Designer of the Universe must feel slighted by about 3 billion of his most rational creations believing that he dumped a bronze age ghost on them to make them behave badly.

We are sinners - but we were created in the image of God. Do you mean that God is a sinner?
God created an angel for His ministry. He rebelled against God by following the thoughts of his heart. can we blame God for that.

Satan is the father of lies - NOT God. God also gave Lucifer a free will and defied God. God didn't force Lucifer to deny Him and His power.
