They hated Him. They lied about Him. They wanted to destroy Him.

So why should things be any different for His Church, right here today? even on Yahoo's "Religion and Spirituality" page, where the hate continues

all though I'm pretty sure I haven't because you are aware that I stand up for Christians when they deserve it. But I'm irked at the fundamentalist who are making YOU look bad when you aren't and have totally earned my respect. Do you forgive me? :)

When they hate it when others do the same to them?
Theres this one girl at my school and she was like, "oh my JESUS... not that i BELIEVE in him or anyhting"

and on her myspace she posts up some video and under it she wrote: "For all you ******* Christians/Catholics, that might make you change your mind about "God". Watch the whole video. :D ^^^^^^^^^^"

i don't understand why she has to state her beliefs so OPENLY. nobody even really cares if shes an atheist or not. i mean i'm not christian but if someone openly stated... I BELIEVE IN GOD/JESUS/JSPPDSAJFOIS she would get pissed. i just don get it

Dr. Bruce M. Metzger, professor of New Testament at Princeton University, calls the NWT "a frightful mistranslation," "Erroneous" and "pernicious" "reprehensible" "If the Jehovah's Witnesses take this translation seriously, they are polytheists." (Professor of New Testament Language and Literature)

Dr. William Barclay, a leading Greek scholar, said "it is abundantly clear that a sect which can translate the New Testament like that is intellectually dishonest."

British scholar H.H. Rowley stated, "From beginning to end this volume is a shining example of how the Bible should not be translated."

"Well, as a backdrop, I was disturbed because they (Watchtower) had misquoted me in support of their translation." (These words were excerpted from the tape, "Martin and Julius Mantey on The New World Translation", Mantey is quoted on pages 1158-1159 of the Kingdom interlinear Translation)

Dr. Julius Mantey , author of A Manual Grammar of the Greek New Testament, calls the NWT

Why is Rahab significant for Salvation History?

And what was her reward when she saved the spies? Was it that she and her family will be saved?

There seems to be a difference of opinion between him and PsychoMi. What is new with a difference of opinion in the Christian religion. And so important they should agree on something.

I am trying desperately to wrap my mind around this. I just don't know how to suspend disbelief surrounding it. Or maybe disbelief is the wrong word to use. I just don't understand it. It makes no sense. I mean, what is the need for his death? I understand the need for his life - a physical representation of divine love and wisdom people can actually see, but why must he die? That's the one piece of the story I can't place. I guess I know that he is dying to take away the sins of all people, should they choose to believe in him. But why must he die to do this? And how does his dying do this?

is there a one true religion? i think that there can be only one true religion, because a thing cannot be false and true at the same time, and therefore all religions that contradict the teaching of the true Church must teach falsehood. If all religions in which men seek to serve God are equally good and true, why did Christ disturb the Jewish religion and the Apostles condemn heretics?

It seems they're disappearing from history with little evidence for such. It's the largest genocide in history and it's simply being erased by pushy Catholics.
From another recently posted question I saw the Wiki genocide article contains no negative mention of the Vatican, and it looks like the Wiki inquisition section(s) depict that era as 'a grand old time indeed'. Why is nobody doing anything to stop this?

This is sick. What the Vatican did is no different to the American-Indian massacres and Jewish Holocaust, yet nobody gives a crap any more. The bloody pope already admitted and apologized for it, what more proof do you want!?

Why does God care so much if people follow different religions? This is mainly referring to the God of the Bible and any other religion that follows the line of "you will go to hell for eternity if you do not follow this religion".

The Bible says that God knows all so if when he created mankind he KNEW that people will follow different religions. So why create man when he knew most will be destined for destruction?? Is this not cruel?

I've been raised a Christian my entire life and went to Church all most every Sunday but stuff like this still does not make sense to me. Someone please give me a well-thought explanation and please no religion/christian bashing.

thanks.

Why does God let people go to hell and pay an Infinite amount of pain for such a ephermeral life?

Why do we deserve infinite pleasure for a finite deed?

And if Hell is pure pain and Heaven is pure pleasure, how do we recognize or sense one without the other?

If you grew up Christian you most likely have been told in the end of times a new idor mark will be forced on all and without it you will not be able to work, travel or purchase goods.
You were told you will be alienated and persecuted and will suffer much hardship and possible death for refusing the mark of the Beast
You were told that he would enter with new ideas and solutions for the world and people would gladly accept and realize there mistake when it was too late.

knowing that most of the end times prophecies in the Bible have come true and the end times are allready here will you submit under pressure to the new Real ID in 2008?

If your not sure what it is yet I will include some links and you can answer after you check it out ...
