Why does God let people go to hell and pay an Infinite amount of pain for such a ephermeral life?

Why do we deserve infinite pleasure for a finite deed?

And if Hell is pure pain and Heaven is pure pleasure, how do we recognize or sense one without the other?

Hey, you need to read this study on 'hell' because a lot of us Christians out there don't believe its existence and here's why:

1. Why He lets us go to hell and pay infinite amount of pain is because we humans think with time, were always in a hury to do something and learn something, thats why the comparison of "infinite" has been given. allthough it will be infinite if we had a specific time for like every sin we could say what the heck it doesnt matter after we payed our debts were gonna get out of this place anyway... thats why its infinite.

2. Why do we deserve infinite pleasure for a finite deed, we don't deserve infinite pleasure for a finite deed, but the thing is we are humans and our brain cant comprehend that much. maybe thats why He likes it so much that we do a good deed and that when believing blindly in a God who we cant see.

3. God is Allpowerfull, the One who created our senses and everything around us, he is capable of perserving us after death if he wants to and if we turn to dust he is the one who can make us one again on the day of judgement, He is also the One who can make a 100th whiplash feel like the first one

To honestly answer the question and with religious backround i wouldn't under stand that phrase as well. To be honest I think that we are just a pawn in a diobolical game of chess against The Lord and the Devil. I wouldn't know how to state my real beliefs because if there is a heaven I would want my friends and family to go there and hopefully i shall join them one day into the afterlife... If there is a hell and "we" all go I hope my soul stays on the earth as a messagener wouldn't you?

God became a man and died on a cross so you wouldn't have to go to hell. He is never going to make you do anything. It is the Devil who makes you do things. When you sin you come under the authority of the Devil and only God can rescue you from his power. This He does through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.
That is the plain declaration of Scripture.
He promises you eternal life.

Why not ask yourself instead - "How in the world could God grant eternity in heaven to such a sinner as me?"

I've read much of the info that adriftfeline posted before on different places.

The word hell has been horribly mistranslated, especially in the King James version, which was done in a rush and incompetently.

Most of the ideas we have of hell are borrowed from Milton and Dante's books, adopted by the Church to scare people into attending.

And apparently people on R&S absolutely love using this twisted version to threaten people and give them a power rush.

"It's your own fault"? You sound like proponents of restoring a KGB style police. If you disagree, you suffer and get tortured. If you don't and support, it's all good.

That is not love, that is tyranny.

Unless the KGB is full of love too

People send themselves with their non belief of Christ. That's what this life is for, it's a test to see which you would rather have. You're all about free will right? So you pick sin and pleasure on earth and go to hell after death?Or do you pick Jesus and go to heaven after death? It's alll up to you and no one else whether you go to hell or not.

Hell - and the Lake of fire into which Hell is cast - is real and Jesus was not bluffing when He warned of it many times. '

These must go "into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Mt. 25:41), and like him, "shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Rev. 20:10), to varying degrees in accordance with their just sentence (Rev. 20:1-15).

(Rev 21:8) "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

(Mark 9:48) "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

As for needing to know pain to know pleasre, that is an unproven hypothesis, but we can have the capacitty to know both in either place. The negative just is not in the Heavenly City, nor the positive in the lake of fire.

And i do not think it unfair that it is in this life that what we really love is manifest, and we choose where we will spend eternity by what we do with the light God gives, which will lead one to Christ.

(John 3:19-21) "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. {20} For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. {21} But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

(Rom 2:7-9) "To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: {8} But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, {9} Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;"

As to the philosophical question as to why man must be tested, consider that love and freedom reveals little unless it has something to choose from. You might wonder if your spouse really wants and love you unless some competition comes along. In the spiritual sense, the devil offers you "plan b" for your life and future, while God, whose power and wisdom is shown in Hi physical creation, and love and grace most supremely manifested in His only Begotten Son, offers you plan A.

Please choose plan A

God doesn't 'allow' us to go to hell. If we go to hell, it's because we chose that way. Jesus died for our sins so that we may have everlasting life. If he hadn't give his life for ours, we wouldn't even havea choice, we would just go to hell. No choice. Jesus gave us all a choice and gave us the opportunity to pick the right one! do you really want to see what hell is just to be able to believe heaven is pure pleasure. Take HIS word for it and don't gamble. What do you have to lose? If you miss out on hell, you ave it made!

Because of the fall of Adam and Eve. Everyone goes to hell, because Hell is simply the grave. But God did warn Adam....if you eat the forbidden fruit you will die and he has kept his word. The word hell is really misused and I wish people would study the word. It would put ease on a lot of peoples mind and more people would probably turn to God instead of away.

We underestimate our sin. The wages of sin is death.. The slightest wrong is eternal. God is a righteous judge which means he has to punish ALL evil, all sin. He cannot excuse it under any circumstances. That's why we need Jesus to stand in our place and take our punishment for us. That's the only way we can be free. He already took our punishment...but now it's up to us to accept it or not.

Believe me, you'll know whether you're in pain or pleasure.

When I have been to church we have been told that everyone (I wonder if they only mean "everyone who believes in God") goes to heaven, because Jesus died for our sins.

John 3:16:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

As for the pleasure/pain - most, if not all of us, have experienced this in our earthly life. That can be our comparison for what we feel in the afterlife.
