The Whore of Babylon is the "spirit" of fornication, adultery, promiscuity, prostitution.....and the seven headed beast is the devil who has her in his clutches.....This spirit is very alive and active today in our world, and if one looks a little closer, one will see how this spirit is zapping up our innocent children at younger and younger ages.....We need to get the cheap make-up and tattoos off of them, put their clothes back on to bring about modesty (not shame, but dignity and respect with safety) and start living by morals and virtues.

Revelation 17:18 Says that she is a Great city over the kings of the earth. verse 17 says the governments will turn on her. and eat her up.
Only religion has a city over the kings of the earth.
Can't be greedy commercialism because they stand at a distance and say to bad for her.
can't be the governments because they are the ones who turn on her.
Using the 10 means all the governments. So something is going to happen to make all governments turn on religion.
all religion, false and otherwise.
They may have to do it to stop war. The religious leaders keep formenting war and the government is getting to the point how do we stop them?

yes and no.
the whore of babylon is figurative of the false church that has been in the world since sin entered.
the true church is likened unto a bride who is adorned and made pure.
this whore will represent what sin has done to the world since time began.
she is riding the beast because this is the religion he and the false prophet will cause all to follow at the next dispensation. she is destroyed when Christ comes and destroys antichrist and the false prophet and when satan is bound for 1000 years.
if you remember in matthew's parables, this is the woman who took the lump of bread and laced it with leaven. leaven is figurative of sin, bread is figurative of a pleasing offering to God. this whore of babylon is the false church - the bride of satan.
