On the news recently, its common knowledge now that a woman was arrested for calling a teddy Mohammed. Now to me - this is disgusting. But i realise that when you are in a land different to your own - you must abide by THEIR laws. i.e in my uni years when i went to Egypt, i had to abide by the country laws. However, isnt Christianity responsible for Guantanamo Bay? holding people behind closed doors without a TRIAL - god knows what going on - some may even be innocent by standers? Now as a Buddhist - i see that everyone views injustice differently. Its sick that this teacher was jailed but hey - you have to respect the laws of the land otherwise people in the UK could be doing all sorts.

I always thought that when families said grace before eating on the television it was just a ridiculous exaggeration. I was truly shocked when I saw questions regarding grace on this site.

Does anyone actually say grace?

I don't believe this tale but I think it would be funny if he's wearing cloths from 2000 years ago.

Wouldn't Nike, Reebok or New Balance feel better then leather sandles. What about a nice Versace suit? George Clooney makes it look good.

It seems like no matter what I ask or answer sometimes, people automatically dislike me because I'm a christian. I happen to be a pretty awesome person. :) I have alot of friends. They aren't even all christians. Just wondering if anyone here feels that way and why? If you do, I'd like to talk to you about it, maybe we could be friends.

I am learning he researched so extensively that he realized the truth. Why is it then that everyone won't see the truth? Why would people follow darwinism and have that fish of his? Wouldn't they be promoting becoming a Christian? Or do they not realize this?

if your religion gets off the hook by claiming, "people that do evil in the name of my religion aren't really my religion," than why don't you accept that argument when they use it?

.....AND finish by 75--OR was it just a statement of fact on how long mankind had been on the earth?

IN one of our books , we had on chart that 1975 would end 6000 years of man's existence, a comment on that transcript by an official of our society:

jv chap. 8 p. 104 Declaring the Good News Without Letup (1942-1975)

" F. W. Franz gave the concluding talk. He began by saying: “Just before I got on the platform a young man came to me and said, ‘Say, what does this 1975 mean?’” Brother Franz then referred to the many questions that had arisen as to whether the material in the new book meant that by 1975 Armageddon would be finished, and Satan would be bound. He stated, in essence: ‘It could. But we are not saying. All things are possible with God. But we are not saying. And don’t any of you be specific in saying anything that is going to happen between now and 1975. But the big point of it all is this, dear friends: Time is short. Time is running out, no question about that."

I mean, it says "Evel" right there in his name, so you'd think he's headed for the flames. But on the other hand, we know God totally digs motorcycle stunts. So this could really go either way.

I know one of your mainstays is "Do no harm." And once a wiccan woman told me that they don't often cast bad or harmful spells because whatever spell you cast, its shadow or spirit comes back onto you. She said that if you "send out" evil, evil comes back to you. If you "send out" good, then good comes back to you in the same amount. Is that right?

Isn't this kinda like the concept of karma?

Considering the scripture says that Christ is the only Potentate

1Ti 6:14 That thou keep [this] commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, [who is] the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

I will give you my stand, but I want to know yours and why you take that stand.

I say Intrinsic value, my reasons are as follows:
Without intrinsic value attributed to life, no Human Rights could be establisted, without Human Rights no laws would be inexistance to violate and Justice could never exists.

If life is relative, then human rights are relative, and all law is relative, and all justice is relative. This would therefore allow society to enslave, rape, murder, kidnap, discriminate and violate others without any outrage. A person could not expect to have justice if one viewed life as relative.

Only a view that life has natural value could one attribute any true rights at all, and establish laws to protect those rights and the natural value of life. Further, justice requires that life have natural value, established rights and law in order to exist and function. It is therefore one of the foundation principles of real justice. Please reveal insight to me...

When a Muslim blows something up, why does the fact that he is Muslim come into light? When Timothy McVeigh blows up a federal building in Oklahoma, why does the fact that he is Christian NOT come to light? Did Jeffrey Dahmer cannobolize in the name of Christianity....or was he a mentally imbalanced psychopath? i think we would all say he was a psychopath....would we say the same if he was a Muslim or an Atheist? or would our Christian nation go on the attack if that was the case?

OK.. if you have seen Zalem's avitar.. it's real hawt! (well I reckon so.... and I'm a good judge of these matters from my perspective).

Anyway... how come there are these really hawt avitars... Zalem is a prime example... is this the devil's work.... sent to tempt us... or is it God's work.... sent to show us how magnificent God is at creation?

For example will we be allowed to examine the relationship between god and the natural world and how exactly he/she might be able to turn water into wine and the chemical reaction that must take place in order to do so?
Or will we all be numb to independent thought and curiosity?

Won't he look like any other Arab guy physically (dark hair, eyes and tanned skin)? Since he's Hebrew and Middle Eastern?
If Jesus were to come down, speaking in an ancient Hebrew/Aramaic accent, and dressed in a robe with a veil on his head much like in those times, would Christians think of him as a Son of God?
Wouldn't racial profiling at US airports (or other European countries) prevent Jesus from reaching his followers there?
Since he can pass off easily as an ' Arab terrorist' dressing and looking the way he does/did?

Weren't the KKK idiots in implementing Christianity into their White Supremacist beliefs since the Son of God was brown and not white?

I just ask because many are confused why Islam is so upset over this. Granted, I agree that there is an over reaction...she doesn't deserve to die. What would it be like if the teacher was teaching in the Bible belt and had the kids name the teddy Jesus Christ? Would believers be offended?
