Well, contrary to what our popular and rather secularist culture would have you believe, many of the truely great scientists throughout history have been very devout people, and most of these great men found no conflict between science and faith. THAT conflict came mostly from men who tried to use science to DISPROVE faith.
Truth is truth.
So I don't think there will be ANY problems for scientists to persue their work when Jesus comes back.
It's only when you approach the issue from the point of view that, "For science to be true faith in the supernatural must be false," OR "For faith to be true science must be thrown out" that you get into a conflict.
Real faith is not threatened by truth, no matter what the source. Indeed, real faith delights in the truth. And there are far more people than our popular culture would have you believe, even today, who are very advanced scientifically, and are also very devout. Indeed, if you and I were to debate this at length, for every "scientific fact" put forth by a scientist to suppossedly disprove elements in The Bible, I could provide a different explanation that was consistent with the teachings in The Bible, put forth by equally well trained scientists.

We are already allowed to examine how one could turn (or not) water into wine.
We are already allowed to explore the relationship that exists (or not) between god and the natural world.
Some people are surprised to discover how many scientists actually work for the Vatican.
However, I do admit that some (other) people believe that true faith comes from being numb to independant through and curiosity. I prefer my faith to be enlightened by science.
---
I also see that some people confuse faith with religion. Those are the ones to whom He might say something along the lines of: I gave humans, as a race, enough intelligence and information to find solutions to your problems and you decided to use it, instead, to wage war among yourselves based on the idiotic idea that I would love some of you more than others just because of meaningless rites.

Isa 29:14 - Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden."
Jer 8:9 - The wise men are ashamed, They are dismayed and taken. Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord; So what wisdom do they have?
1Co 1:19 - For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
1Co 1:20 - Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1Co 3:19 - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness";
Man currently thinks he has "science" and "nature" all figured out....but God who Created this World and all the Science that we currently "hold dear"...will reveal the TRUTH about all that we "think" we know.
However...will we that are with Him in heaven be "numb" to independent thought & curiosity?...NO! by no means...we will have the ability to seek and know to even greater amounts of information & knowledge than we currently have...because in seeking there will be NO SIN!

All human beings have a GOD-given curiousity about the natural world. The questions as to our place in it are continually being renewed by examination. Observations based on common experience will continue to have an influence on what we ought to believe, regardless of who is in charge.

Probably all of this will be answered by GOD ( none of us is God ) at the last day. I wouldn't worry too much about this though..because science as we know it will mean relatively nothing. Think.. when the ends of all the days is done.. what difference does it make what WE knew while on the earth since the earth is a done deal? Nada. Compare what we learn each day to what IS here. We LEARN new stuff everyday as humanity and we ADD to what WE know each day..ok? Now thing..God already knows it ALL because He made it all for us..so now ya need to ask..WHY did God make it all for us?

I assume that God created the analitical mind as well as the simple minded. I think that we will know more in our mortal minds once we are with Jesus. I don't know that the knowledge of these things will matter once we're with Jesus, but I certainly believe we'll have much more understanding then. I believe free thinking will still exist. Yet God's miracle will still probably God's miracle. I believe God might well give us the understanding though.

I am so tired of these types of questions: Look everybody, I'm going to show how silly Christians are while showing you how smart I am.
Your assumptions about Christians (and you can't lump them as a group, there are many opinions within the Christian community) are based on you belief that Christians reject science. Bull ****! Yeah, some Christians even swear.
Not ALL Christians reject science. I believe in evolution. I believe that the universe starte with the Big Bang or some very similar event. I believe the earth is approx. 4 billionyears old and the universe is approx. 15 billion years old.
THEN HOW CAN YOU BE A CHRISTIAN?
Because everything I have just said in not in contradiction with anything Christ said. People read in many things and they refer to the Old Testament way too much. As a CHRISTIAN I follow the teachings of CHRIST!
So, find some other way of trying to make yourself feel superior.

i think u will still hav free will, meaning u can think and do as u please. however, even now nothing is impossible thru the power of God. it will be similar but there will be a new heaven and a new earth and new Jerusalem.
if u do like to prove or disprove the event of the Bible then u must hav one (or maybe its just a general question) but if so then read Revelation 21 & 22.

Science: based on evidence and records that are real and one can touch, see or do whatever with them.
Jesus: a "character" from the Bible which someone wrote thousands of years ago and thats about all the evidence is towards the existence of Jesus
