Absolutely not. Their mission is to make money, not to inform us, regardless of what they claim. They have limited time and space to present news, so they're going to present only the news that will make them money.

I believe the media generally portrays the truth as they know it and that most news outlets strive to find out the actual truth before they report on it. Of course they sometimes screw up, and some outlets are more credible than others. I also think people often misunderstand what the media says as then blames their mistake back on the media. (For example, the media made public after Katrina that many people were reporting rapes and murders having happened in the Superdome. Now it appears no such thing happened, some people complained that the media had reported erroneously. I never heard the media say rapes and murders had happened, merely that those actions were reported by many people. There's a difference.)
I don't see the media as having any effect on my religious beliefs. My beliefs come from study and personal experience. I can't even think of what the media could bradcast that would change my views.

The media has a bias and a bias easily can be used to slant news stories any particular angle. The media does not effect my religious beliefs in any way.
Thru modern technology, presentations have been created using the benefit of the media, DVD, videos, etc have been produced that have acted to enchance my beliefs. The LDS Church has produced countless video and DVD presentation that strengthens my faith.

What is the 'truth' to you?
My feelings about religion have been affected a great deal by my participation on this forum. My disdain for Christianity and Islam grows daily.
I think that the media is biased against religion right now because we have seen what fundies in our government have done to this country. Everyone wants a change and most of us want religion out of our government.
Religion is a boil on the rump of mankind.

Yes, the media (including actors, singers, actresses, etc.) all play an important role on what people believe, do, dress and the way they think. However, we cannot crumble to that; we must remain faithful to God...no matter what.
The Bible is our True Source!!
It is our sword to get us through tough times and our inspiration when we are down!
Yes, it does have an impact on my belief it God...it confirms everything God has said in His Word and makes me want to reach out to others more! : )

Only Fox News portrays the whole truth. It's accurate, objective, and fair.
At least that's what Papa Bear says.

Have you ever read the question ask in the Bible of Jesus? The question is "What is truth?"
At the time it was ask of him, he gave no answer for he had already answered it in his total ministry. His answer is that the question is not "What is truth?". The real question is WHO is truth?"
Thus I must ask you a question, "Does media answer the question of WHO IS TRUTH?
In my view this question is avoided and all media answers is the "What" issue in their view by speculation for their motives. I will say that media does only present unverifiable truth.

The media is an abomination to all mankind. Some of these "reality" shows would have been shunned by society and thrown in the gutter just 20 years ago. Now they are embraced and paid homage to. The same goes for 90% of the rest of television. It's all garbage for the brain to ingest. I am sure it influences many people's morals and causes them to turn away from God.

Of course the media does not protray the truth, it only supports one particular biased viewpoint or agenda.
The media has absolutely no effect on my faith.
I watch very little television, movies, nor do I listen to radio.
