There is no comparison between what your links and a government threatening to give a woman 40 lashes over an innocent mistake. The Teddy Mohammed thing is on a whole different level.

Are we marching down the street demanding Jerry Springer be shot dead? What you on darling? Nutter

Apart from which this is not a question, it is a statement, therefore should not have a question mark, and should be posted on a message board, not here. How can we take anyone seriously, who does not know the difference between a question or statment. Night night baba

I thought religion was meant to bring everyone together & create peace, spread love & so on.
In my 25 yrs on this earth all i've witnessed is religion being at the centre of wars, terrorism & acts of murder.
Its not religion though thats to blame, its the way fanatics interpret their chosen religion. I beleive a little bit of what you like is best, so if you want to be christian so be it, but don't let it take over your life. You enjoy shopping at asda but you wouldn't wear the green t-shirts, throw eggs at tesco & pray night & day to walmart.

Yet I don't remember any imprisonments or mass riots calling for execution. HmMmmm. Read the article you posted:

"Gledhill argued that "Jerry Springer - The Opera" would never have been staged or aired in Britain had it been a satire about Islam, not Christianity.

"No theatre would have produced it. Neither would the BBC have broadcast it," he said.

Grayson Perry, a cross-dressing potter who has won the prestigious Turner Prize, said in remarks reported this week that he consciously avoided tackling the topic of radical Islam in his art because of what he saw as a threat of reprisals.

"I've censored myself," the Times quoted him as saying. "The reason I haven't gone all out attacking Islamism in my art is because I feel real fear that someone will slit my throat."

Even the artist is smart enough to realize attacking Christianity will be met with near silence from Christians, and squeals of delight from the atheists while attacking Islam will get you killed!

That would be an interesting opera...Jerry Springer-Opera...funny stuff...but both christianity along with other religions have had their fair share of violence and harm towards others whether physical or not. I just looked at a lot of religions and decided to not go with any of them, better to go with ideas, b/c Ideas are moldable, people kill over beliefs.

How do you know it's been the Christians moaning about this. I'm pretty sure it's been people off all different beliefs that have been moaning about this situation. What do hope to achieve by accusing and making Christians look bad as well, when we dunno what beliefs of the people who are have been moaning this news?

errr. Being deliberately and gratuitously offensive in the popular media is rather different to an inadvertent mistake in a classroom!

Such a smoke screen never achieves anything, except to disguise the flames that burn.
Do try again.
