It seems like no matter what I ask or answer sometimes, people automatically dislike me because I'm a christian. I happen to be a pretty awesome person. :) I have alot of friends. They aren't even all christians. Just wondering if anyone here feels that way and why? If you do, I'd like to talk to you about it, maybe we could be friends.

christians believe lots of dumb stuff. it comes with the territory.

I do not know you but your faith is not important to me. If you nice to and can add value to my life thats whats important, if someone does not like you simply because you love Jesus, they do not add any value. I am not that high on the faith beleive pole. But I do know what people you are around influences your life style positivly or negatively. People do not like to be told what to beleive and they dislike being told over and over, that personally drives me insane. I have family that does that, always trying to get me to go to their church. I do not have any interest in going to an building on wed. or sunday night and I do not do mornings. I can and do study the Bible on a fairly consent basis on my own at home or in the car or while out to eat anywhere. I worship how I choose as long as I do. I have many clients that I have met at churches and out in town that are church goers and if I personally need and help with anything, most of them would be there. So do not allow negative people bring you down in any aspect of your life.

I don't hate anyone (hate is never a good thing). But I get frustrated when religious politicians try to force their religious views and concepts onto everyone. It gives Christians a bad name.
Plus, as an atheist, I just happen to disagree with you on the existence of God. That does NOT equate to me hating you.

I don't automatically dislike you because you're a Christian. I know several lovely people who happen to be Christian. I also know several not-so-lovely people who also happen to be Christian.
In short, I take each case on its own merits.

Even though I don't love or believe in Jesus, I do not dislike you because you love Jesus. Tell me I'm going to hell for not sharing your love, then I may dislike you.

I don't dislike you because of that. I would only dislike you if you tried to for ME to love Jesus, or tried to tell me that I would burn in hell if I didn't love Jesus.
Don't take it personally...many of us have become more than a little bit gunshy of Christians because a loud, obnoxious few have given you guys a bad name.

I don't believe anyone here would dislike you as much as they dislike religion. I don't believe anyone here would dislike you for loving Jesus as much as they dislike the notion that Jesus is real. I don't believe anyone here would dislike you because Jesus is God, not as much as they dislike the truth that God is real.

that would be wrong to dislike you caus youre christian we most likely dont know you. im an atheist and admidably we make some rude jokes on here but i certainly hope they are just that because if they arent i dont think i want to be associated with them
