I remember going to church and not acting like how all the other kids did. They were all so into it and I went just beacuse I had to and would get into trouble in sunday school. I remember my Mom telling me "Satan has put seeds in your head" for an unrelated bad thing I did. I never was into the whole religion thing and I never did beleive what my devout christian parents said even when I was 7 years old, maybe I was too strong for them. I turned out perfectly fine and now that I'm older, I have made my own decisions on what I want to believe. Who else was in the same situation as me and wants to share their story?

Just wondering, it's kinda strange that they are so close from the hat and robe to the staff they wave around. They are almost identical.

shouldn't all Christians should be dirt-poor?
Also if I (a non-believer) ask you to empty the contents of your wallet into my hands, shouldn't you comply?

With that said, if you don't, aren't you picking and choosing what to follow and what not to. If this is so then what makes you any different than a non-believer?

And don't tell me I'm taking those two things out of context, this is something that Jesus made COMPLETELY clear in the bible.

Shouldn't the sole fact that there are multiple religions in existence, all claiming their mascot to be the one true God, be enough to make any rational person skeptical?

Wouldn't the first religion have to be the true one, if any?

I'm an 8th grader and I'm in my last year of middle school. I'm an ok student. I got a 4.0 GPA in 6th and 7th grade. I have always been more into humanities than math and other practical subjects. I usually do really well in English and History, and eke out a 92 or 93 in math.

This year, I'm doing okay. But I have an 84 in science, and it keeps getting lower. 84 is an okay grade, but I'm really frustrated because my teacher is extremely disorganized and is always losing papers and teaching us material that contradicts what the book says.

On some nights I spend up to 4-5 hours just writing one lab report and trying to make it good, because she grades really harshly. SI have been getting 60s and 70s on all my labs and homeworks, and my grade only kept afloat by my test grades. She takes off massive amounts of points for the most trivial reasons.

Although I complain about her quite a bit, I also feel extremely sorry for her. She is an old lady with back problems, a broken elbow, and

Aren't you being illogical and un-scientific by believing in something that you cannot even prove? Like for example, believing that there's no High Power when you CAN'T even PROVE that a Higher Power DOESN'T exist.

Before you bash persistent Theists, why don't you just check yourself. You're just as fiery with your arrogant beliefs that nothing in the world can be more logical or more intelligent than you are.

Even Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein weren't atheists, they have always left a door open regarding the existence of a Higher Power. Why? Because no human can ever prove that there is no Higher Power... and other than believing in it or believing in the possibility of it, there is no 'scientific' way to prove that there is a Higher Power. If people chose to be atheist, it is only because they believe that a Higher Power should not exist, not because they actually know so, as proven by science.

I have found that most atheists do not want to make the commitment you must make to follow the Lord. They use intellectual reasoning to denounce faith. When in fact they are unwilling to give up some parts of their lifestyle to follow God. In my studies I have learned that once you actually start to learn about Christ, the evidence in, and outside the bible is overwhelming that he does exist. Therefore as humans we must either have the will to believe, or the will not to believe. Any thoughts on this?

how can religion be a profitable business. i mean why is it that you see these preachers living good and the people in which they preach to living poor? how can a preacher profit from preaching? did jesus from the bible profit from his teachings? i just dont see how this is possible. if a preacher was really teaching in faith why does he profit? sending the word of god in any religion should not be profitable. should it?

I don't understand this...Athiests don't try to convince christians that there is no God..I don't understand cause they really don't care about the person, I say that becasue they say things like "Oh your just going to go to hell if you don't believe" Why all these Christians on here attacking athiests..There are so many other religions in the world so why is it that Christians feel the need to shove thier religion on everyone..Why can't they just believe what they want and let others do the same?
