and why would you WANT to become a Muslim?

It's not ok to have dogs as pets. The only time it is allowed is either as a guard dog or for hunting. And they can't be allowed in the house. The reasons for not having them as pets are because they are unclean...scientific research has confirmed the teachings and statements of Prophet Mohammad regarding dogs. If you're going to convert, go ahead by all means. It's not like you have to get rid of the dog to become Muslim. But it's a lot better for you. Ask a local imam for more details.

If you become a Muslim -- does that mean you plan to marry a Muslim? Or do you plan to join Islam? Don't leave the country with your Muslim husband, because you might not get back and Allah is a false god. Muhammad picked a god from 360 idols and Allah was the Crescent Moon god. This is not the Christian God.

Keep your dog. Get rid of the Muslim.

Dear Anna,

Why would you like to convert to a Muslim at first place?

Secondly, if I had been You, then my focus would have been on the Faith that Islam defines.

I would have been more interested to evaluating Koran with whatever intelligence I might have to find out if it is really a Book descended from God.

Such a petty matter would never have bothered me, should I be really interested in a religion. But it would have, in deed, if I would be trying to euphemistically criticising Muslim for keeping dogs aloof as a general fact.

Dog is one of the creatures of God, my love, and it is very much mentioned in Koran where the Men of the Cave were having a dog with them as companion. The same event is very much mentioned in Bible as well.

Plus, for you Psalm (40:4)
Blessed is that man that makesth the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

God bless you in your errands! A’amin.

alot of questions here. First become muslim, then ask a schoalr. Dont delay something as importsnat as the shshada. NO one knows when his time of death wil arrive. And we all know how satan plans and plots and tricks people.
What will you tell Allah on the Day of Judgement??My dog prevented me from entering islam?? Remeber, "everything on earth will perish". You embracing islam should be a priority over your dog.
Let me also tell u, that i had a dog beofre becoming muslim.
Once you hold on to the rope of Allah, He will make everything easy for u. Im talking frm experience! May Allah guide us all . ameen.

“A dog can be owned for purposes such as the following:
1. A trained dog for hunting. Remember in Islam we are only allowed to hunt for food; there is no such thing as hunting for fun, for we are not allowed to kill or torture animals or drive them out of their habitats for the fun of it.
2. A trained dog as a guide. This would be the case if a person is blind and he/she has no choice but to keep a dog for essential services. In this case, it is permissible for him/her to keep a dog inside the house once it has been trained for service, but it is still recommended that the dog have its own sleeping arrangement. 3. A dog trained for police duties.
4. A guard dog to guard houses or property.
5. A dog used by farmers to shepherd cattle and sheep."

I know muslims who keep dogs as pets.
