I'm an 8th grader and I'm in my last year of middle school. I'm an ok student. I got a 4.0 GPA in 6th and 7th grade. I have always been more into humanities than math and other practical subjects. I usually do really well in English and History, and eke out a 92 or 93 in math.
This year, I'm doing okay. But I have an 84 in science, and it keeps getting lower. 84 is an okay grade, but I'm really frustrated because my teacher is extremely disorganized and is always losing papers and teaching us material that contradicts what the book says.
On some nights I spend up to 4-5 hours just writing one lab report and trying to make it good, because she grades really harshly. SI have been getting 60s and 70s on all my labs and homeworks, and my grade only kept afloat by my test grades. She takes off massive amounts of points for the most trivial reasons.
Although I complain about her quite a bit, I also feel extremely sorry for her. She is an old lady with back problems, a broken elbow, and

a malignant tumor. But she has to work because she needs the health insurance.
When my parents went in to talk with her, she started crying and admitted that the district superintendent forced her to teach a subject that she does not know how to teach, and that she felt really bad about making all the students feel like fools. She also told my parents that the superintendent threatened her with the fact that she has only been here for 3 years and hasn't gotten her tenure. I felt so bad; my troubles are nothing compared to hers. She must feel like a fool just as much as I do.
Over Thanksgiving break, her father passed away. That really made me feel guilty about all the negative feelings I used to have about her. I spent a whole night crying over it. She is already the most miserable person I know. I could not imagine what she was going through. "Why," I asked myself, "Did bad things always end up happening to people I had grudges against?"
I did quite a bit of praying, and finally

Jesus spoke to me. He wanted me to share the Gospel with her. He wanted me to go see her after class alone. It sounded perfect. I really wanted to start over and form a new relationship with my teacher. I want to see the glow on her face when Jesus finally comes through and heals her inside. But religion is a really controversial topic in school. Should I do it? How?

To all the people here who have accused me of blaming her for my bad grades, please stop it. Apparently, you answered while I was adding details. I'm not blaming her for it. EVERYONE in the class is getting bad grades and a lot of what she teaches contradicts what the book says. I think she needs Jesus to make her a happier person, and secondly, a better teacher.

Alan, I'm 13 not 14. But if God wants to use me, he will. My grades right now are not my priority. I want my teacher to be healed by Jesus before she completely gives in to depression. If you all knew her, you would understand. I have never met such a miserable person in my life.

Your answer lies within your very question, dear one!
"Jesus spoke to me. He wanted me to share the Gospel with her. He wanted me to go see her after class alone."
End of story.
So when and why did it change this to, "I THINK Jesus wants me to..."
Jesus spoke to you, and your freelly declared that He wanted you to...and now it is a, "I think..."
This is a classic trial of faith.
Do you think it made sense when God told Abraham to sacrifice his only Son, Isaac? I tell you the truth: it made NO sense, yet Abraham believed and obeyed.
Yet, your story makes PERFECT sense...and yet you hesitate?
Be encouraged...speak God's word with confidence...know that His Word does NOT return void...and that you do not labor for the Lord in vain.
Even if she curses at you...and yells at you for you attempt to share the Gospel with her, what is more important? That you obey Jesus...or that you please your teacher?
Even if she reacts poorly, at first...you are like a farmer who plants seeds. That's what a Christian is...and you plant liberally...everywhere...and it is GOD who brings the growth. Do not overly burden yourself with her salvation, but it DOES seem that the Holy Spirit is moving you will love and compassion to speak words of hope to a person desperately in need of them. How can that not be from God?
...even if she rejects you, later...she may repent and believe...and you will rejoice together in heaven!
Do not listen to naysayers.
Look...what Jesus tells you in the secret...proclaim from the rooftops! Read Matthew 10:26-33!
Do not be afraid...do not worry.
God goes before you...and will give you the words to speak.
...and don't forget to pray, pray, pray for her!
And last thing:
Ultimately...do NOT do this for her.
Ultimately...do NOT do this for you.
Ultimately...do this for God...for HIS glory!
Grace and peace in Christ be with you.

I have read carefully what you have been struggling with. First and foremost, no matter what anyone thinks or says to you, Jesus is Lord, and if you feel you need to share with your teacher you must obey the Lord. Now doing so appropriately is the question. I think a sympathy card for the loss of her father would be appropriate and a note saying I will keep you in my prayers, would be a good start. Give God time to work. I will also be in prayer for you and her. You have a tender heart, and may God continue to use you for his goodness.

If you think that Jesus wants you to tell the Gospel to your teacher, you had better do it. I'm so sorry she is having such a bad time, and if she wants to, she might try to report you, but if you are willing to tell her the Gospel message because Jesus wants you to, do it, no matter what.
Nothing is more important than to live your convictions when God convicts you.
Who knows, you may be the only light in your teacher's life.

So... is the question that you think if your teacher gets Jesus, she'll give you better grades?
Well, you may want to have a backup plan in case she doesn't see the light. If she is genuinely an unfair or capricious grader, document what she's doing, and go to your school's administration.

So, what does all this have to do with your teacher needing to hear the gospel? She's a bad teacher, therefore she needs Jesus? Well, that may be, but something else she needs is a termination of her teaching contract with the school. It sounds like she needs to pack her stuff, and retire.

I'm not sure where you are going with this but I would suggest to you that Jesus might want you to get your own life taken care of and to leave other people alone. If you are 14 you might not be an expert on how people should lead their lives.

Leave her alone. Your sympathy is admirable but the last thing she needs is some teenage zealot preaching to her. I'm sure that, at her age, she has made any decisions regarding her religious standing many years ago. Give it up and if you must be a christian try to keep it to yourself - no one wants to listen.

If you feel lead to witness. Do so!!!!!!! The devil wouldn't tell you to do so.So, you know it's God. Besides, it sounds like she is unorganized due to health problems. Pray for her, and let her know it. Be discreet but forward/honest. I think its sweet you have such a discerning/kind spirit. I'm sure it will benefit you both. Hopefully, it will bring up your grades where you want them. God Bless/Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
