A shale for instance, formed at the bottom of the sea in a quiet low energy environment would have an easy going spirit,
A sandstone formed by massive river torrents, high energy environments would be a violent spirit?...goes on for all the other rock types. Is there any evidence from the past that people ever recognised this? Would any Pagans be interested in talking about this in greater detail, i mean some rocks are created by the element air, water, earth, fire, this must have an effect on the nature of their spirit....
Do you think im onto something?
I'm a geologist by the way.

Peace

I say I don't believe in a GOD "YET" when I was in the military and we lost one engine (On Fire) and we were 500 miles to the nearest a landing strip (Airport) I prayed like Billy Graham. After we made it I quit praying. Fast forward to 2006. I got sick. (Cancer??) Again I prayed to God. Now I'm ok. I don't pray anymore "BUT" tomorrow if I come close to death I will pray again. I bet "GOD" is getting tired of me.

Watch for part two, it will shock, I'm going to post it as my responce and what I think.

Simple question, should we still follow (as christians is mainly what I mean, atheists can answer for if christians should follow the ten commandments, if you would)
the ten commandments given to Moses.

Tell me Yes or No, and why or why not, if you would be so kind.

Simple question.

This includes, murder and adultery, ect.

Are they still in place for us to follow.

Thank you.

I'm asking this for my research paper in my intro to religion course.

1) What role did she play in Jesus' life in your opinion?
2) What's her story in your opinion? Like what accounts do you believe happend to her after Jesus' death? Just anything you may believe or have been told about her life story and relationship with Jesus will help..

I'm just trying to compare the many believes in regards to this matter.

There is literally an ABUNDANCE af evidence that there IS a "God".
Yet, there is absolutely NO evidence that there is NOT a "God".

when I honestly look at it, I don't have any serious problems, the most serious problem is how i'm going to handle work, school and a somewhat full time hobby I have.

How about you? when you try look at things positively, what should you really worry about?

I think there are real Christians among Fundamentalist Protestants if they are real Nicene Trintitarians.
I know many Funda Prots who actually want to live the Beatitudes but i must admit that i know many more active church-going and church-leading Fundas. who are simply consumed by hate and ignorance, sorry to say . What do you think?

My watch has chrome edges and at the top and bottom the chrome is around a half inch thick.
This morning I noticed it was scratched, nothing unusual in that you may say but the scratches quite clearly spell VT.

Okay. I came here because I have no where else to go and I hope that people could please be serious and help me out.

When I was a kid, we were at the Zoo and for whatever reason the elephants FACINATED me. They were HUGE and their trunks were so twisty I became enthralled.

Well as I got older and wiser, studying different religions trying to find my way to God I came across the story of Ganesha. It's very facinating actually but this question doesn't revolve around the religious part of him.

I think I am excited by the image of Ganesha. I know I am horrible and I am sure that God will forsake me but I cannot help but be facinated and excited when I see a picture of him. It has gotten to the point that if my partner is willing, we will roleplay together where he is Ganesha.

Please tell me what I can do... I fear I have lost my way but cannot help what my body desires! If no one is hurt then it is okay right?

Why was a Christian teacher allowed to teach muslim children if one small error can cause such a political farce as this.
I respect religan and all those who chose to follow certain paths but to jail someone for such a trivial matter is beyond me.
Trivial you say, yes!
Why didn't the children run screeming from the classroom covering there ears? because they are children and saw this for what it was and not some political victory over the doomed west.

Our bodies respond to physical training by the appearance of fitness as well as feeling fit.

There are also forms of "mind training" to attain a level of peace or nirvana as in Buddhist philosophy but I wonder if you can train your mind to stop feeling love for someone. If so, how would you accomplish that using a daily "training" technique.

She got convicted for "insulting the faith of Muslims in Sudan," a lesser charge than the original "blasphemy," for naming the class' teddy bear Muhammad today. She gets 15 days in prison, deportation from Sudan, and no lashes--it could have been worse.

Why are conservative Muslims representing Islam instead of us? we speak out yet no one bothers to listen. We've had our websites closed down, our women abused and issued with Fatwas, our religion's dictated to us (i.e, you're not Muslim!) and we're forced into repressive silence until it makes us look like cowards. Do the conservative orthodox Muslims know what they're doing? Why do they turn a blind eye to rape, domestic violence, gold digging, materialism, theft, tyranny, Muslim brothers abusing the rules, RACISM and petty issues yet focus on trivial issues like Hijab, having boyfriends, holding concerts, owning dogs and naming teddy bears Muhammad. Turkey holds a bad name just because of disallowing Hijab in court but other Muslim countries FORCE the veil onto women. That aint Islam, brothers and sisters.

why can't you let us speak out? Don't you realise the name you're givng to us aswell? You think we don't face the same discrimnation and problems as you do?

Salaams.
