I say I don't believe in a GOD "YET" when I was in the military and we lost one engine (On Fire) and we were 500 miles to the nearest a landing strip (Airport) I prayed like Billy Graham. After we made it I quit praying. Fast forward to 2006. I got sick. (Cancer??) Again I prayed to God. Now I'm ok. I don't pray anymore "BUT" tomorrow if I come close to death I will pray again. I bet "GOD" is getting tired of me.

if you verbalize desires and obtain what you covet, then you are fortunate. just because you say these prayers to some specific deity does mean he/she exists.

God is not getting tired of you, but you will die some day. But you do sound kind of special in His eyes. Maybe this is just His way of letting you know about it. You seem to have a lot for which to be thankful. A prayer of thanksgiving may be in order now. It's pretty natural to turn to God only when we are in trouble, but that really is not what He is all about except in the area of sin. It's this my kingdom is not of this world is what it is really all about. Getting into Heaven should be your primary concern since you will die some day. You won't be able to pray yourself out of that one forever. You were just given a reprieve. Perhaps it was to show you that you could have a much bigger problem if you miss out on Heaven.

Even non believers turn to God when they are in a time of crisis. Then when God delivers them out of it they once again turn their backs. This was also true of the children of God (Jews) in the old testament. But, because God is loving and forgiving he keeps trying to reach you and let you see he is all powerful and in total control of the situation. You seek and you shall find. God is here and he is waiting for you. All you have to do is accept him and start living in salvation.

I bet God isn't getting tired of you. But I do wonder why you pray to a Deity that you do not believe in.

God doesn't get tired of you. True Christians believe that God loves all of humankind, even if they don't really believe in Him.

Pretty cool how patient He is with us, huh? I lived with my back to Him and running full speed away for a long time - and still, He was there, waiting for his prodigal son. Ain't He great?!?! Don't wait too long though. Make the relationship real. Best thing I ever did.

God understands and He loves you. It's apparent since you survived the plane incident, you survived the cancer, you and God are "good".
