Islam does NOT agree with what the disciples have recorded about Jesus. ( Jesus did not write the scriptures, by the way. lots of people contributed..some were believers that God CAN do all things..and more were obviously believers that God cannot do all things ( non- believers ) .

If you read further about Islam..they believe Jesus was no more than a fraud, that He did not die on a cross , nor did He raise Himself from th grave, etc. In NO way does Islam agree with what Jesus said and or did.

More evidence of the schizophrenic nature of Islam.

Muhammad's understanding of Jesus was through gnostic stories he heard. Lacking the ability to read and without a qualified teacher of the Gospels, he was subjected to bits and pieces of stories, some of them aprocryphal. Without the framework of the narrative of the Gospels, his knowlege of Jesus was anecdotal, without a start or finish and without structure -- much the way his Quran is. He incorporated his half-understood stories of Jesus in his recital, probably in the hopes of lending legitimacy to it. He rejected any scriptural teaching that did not agree with his limited world view.

This created a real problem for future, literate Muslims, who actually took Muhammad's advice and read the torah and the Gospel, and found that they seriously disagreed with Muhammad's theology. Rather than admit their error and recognize that Muhammad was a con man and a cult leader, they dealt with the discrepanacy with a two-pronged attack:

1. They claimed (and still do) that the Gospel and Torah that Muhammad recommended were altered to deny Islam's "truth's". This is facetious, because Muhammad never suggested any such thing, and the codex's from which all modern translations derive predate Muhammad.

2. They outlawed the use of the Bible or the Torah among Muslims, lest they see the truth and be led astray (Or back to the fold, depending on your point of view).

I have long said that the most vulnerable Muslims to conversion are the ones who have tried to be the best muslims they could be, yet still cannot make sense of the literary mess that is Islamic scripture. Give these people a Bible, and let them see clear, clean truth, written in easy to understand prose that translates to any language. The contrast is illuminating.

For X: India has a vast population of Muslims as does Pakistan.

Islam recognizes Jesus as a great prophet of God, but not the Son of God, so texts teaching otherwise would be considered sacrilege.

Muslims agree with Jesus sayings and do follow them. They don't agree with Paul's religion (trinity). It's quite simple, where the bible agrees with the Quran, that is what Muslims accept. Where it differs, that is where men have added their own opinions into the Bible. It's a fact that Quran has been unchanged for 1500yrs and bible has been changed countless times.

In more recent times, Germany is working on getting a new version of the bible out which will speak nicely about the jews and gay people. So whose word is the bible? God's or men's?

If you know anything about the life of Muhammad, you know he did not agree with Jesus The Christ or any prophet of God. I'm pretty sure Muhammad broke all 10 commandments and he definitely never heard of turning the other cheek and loving your enemies.

God Bless.
