the pick and mix has base.
there are verses in the bible wich state anyone who is not in church on a sunday / place of worship on a sunday should be stoned, and that they are not allowed to wear clothes made from two different materials.
i have base for my comments...

first of all we don't gouge out our eyes and chop off our hands is that all you know about muslims..., yes we follow the quran word by word because we believe in god and we believe that the quran is from god ..no one has changed a dot in the quran ..all the copies of quran are identical...not like the bible...(with respect for the bible)...and when you believe in god and his word ..how can you not follow it word by word.

No exactly. I think that's a generality about all Christians.
As far as "pick and mixes", are you taking the time to read and understand all passages from the Bible in context, or do you look at two verses that apparently don't jive on the surface and then dismiss it all? (baby with the bathwater, so to speak?)

not really, we follow the interpretations and what we think of it. I constantly debate with my translators opinion of what certain Qur'anic passages mean because they're based on his opinions. Passages containing things like Mountains, reviving dead earth from dewdrops falling from the sky, creations of God nurtured by faultless nature...those things I personally love to read in my Qur'an.
But generally regardless of what faith we're in we all pick and choose and it does include Muslims. There are lots of passages that support women's rights and we've got a chapter dedicated to a certain Virgin Laydee but a majority of fanatical morons have seem to forgotten it as it usually doesn't get quoted.

Here's two people that actually do what their religion says to do.... Billy Graham and Osama Bin Laden. I, for one am VERY GLAD that there are more Muslims than Christians who don't walk the walk.

I assume you are impugning the integrity of Christians but I'd like to remind you what the true fundamentalist approach gets you (hint, it involves a LOT of dead people).

Christianity is not nearly as "old school" as the old testiment and the koran.
Jesus says things such as "turn the other cheek", "let he who is without sin cast the first stone", "give unto caesar what is caesar's"
The muslim god would never say such things . Mr. Allah would say "if your foe strikes you, don't turn the other cheek, shove a bomb up his *** or hijack his camel".
Allah would not say let he who is without sin cast the first stone... Allah would command the people to stone the sinner and his whole family to death, and probably would provide a nice, fresh pile of stones as ammo.
I would argue that in many ways, if you follow Jesus' teaching word for word, people would be nicer to eachother, as opposed to the blood and gore of the old testiment and the koran.
Now, stop asking such foolish questions, silly atheist- boy.
Or as Jesus would say - "now go and sin no more"

i have noticed that but i think it is more of a differing interpretation, the importance put onto certain parts, even muslims practice different forms of islam, their are two distinct forms of islam and many internal schools in both.

Radical Muslims follow the Koran word for word...that is why they kill people like you (Atheists) and me(Christians). The Koran tells them to. There are a lot of Muslims who don't--maybe, just maybe they are not following the Koran as they should.

No they don't. Extremists contort the Qu'ran just like some Christians contort the Bible.

Interesting absolute statement of fact. Only problem is it isn't a fact. It depends on the Christian or the muslim. Some do, some don't. But, please, continue your lies. It makes you more obvious and less effective.
