For instance, Lot's wife. God didn't 'turn her into a pillar of salt'; he 'immunized her against goiters'.

What are some other bad things from the Bible that we can cast a positive light on?

jews have been targeted for anti semitism ever since the middle ages. Its been told around evry 21 years jews are being presecutued for some stupid reason. But they still are the strongest religion when you think about. After so much hardships there are still alot of jews.

Earlier today I asked "Torah observant messianics" to explain how these beliefs were Torah observant USING TORAH alone. Now I ask YOU..using TORAH ALONE to explain why those beliefs are incompatible with Torah. I will not accept answers that insult or use anything other than Torah. I am giving the SAME criteria to be FAIR. Eight hours passed and no "messianics" replied with Torah rationale for each point. I will have to post the rest of the question in additional details part 2. Now, explain where Torah forbids their statement of belief indicating to:
1) Rely on any entity other than God for atonement OR believe that the messiah would be God in human form.
2) Pray to or through any other entity before God (echad means ONE, not "compound unity" which is yachad)
3) ascribe to a text that demonizes Judaism, & states the eternal covenant is now invalidated and replaced
I will have to continue with 4, 5, & 6 in an additional detail number 2.

If Satanists believe in and worship the devil (Satan), then do they believe that there is such thing as God and heaven?

Same for Christians. Do they believe there is such thing as Satan and hell?

Just curious.

I'm seeing him by myself first, then probably my husband and I will go together at least once. I'm not an official member of this church (United Methodist) yet - I've been going now about 5 months. It will be on a weekday afternoon. I've never done anything like this and discussing fees and money makes me very uncomfortable. He just baptised my baby and I gave $50 to the church in her name. We're on a single income and money is really, really tight right now.
Help?

Here's some examples
Christianity-the earth IS over billions of years old, and it is proven by an always-right system of dating. (not really possible, but still.)

Atheists-Some form/sort of g/God appeared in front of millions.

And so on.

So how would you react? Just wondering. I'm Christian, by the way. No snide comments, please.

I understand your reluctance in taking that most important step of liberating yourself from the chains of fear and superstition.
I was once where you are now but once I got liberated I felt relieved and proud of my achievement. And I fear no more.
Do the right thing, for YOURSELF.

Pls star if you agree. Thx.

*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a " Holiday ".*

*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X-BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
; * Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,

not Happy Holiday!*

Just asking because every time someone questions the existence of God, the first response out of just about every Christian on this website is "your going to hell." Is human thought the work of the devil????

than you need to read the books for yourself and open your eyes. judging a book by its cover again!!

just so you know
God is not killed in those books. The Authority is killed. yes he is a god figure but he is stated as being the first angel and a frail old man. not the creator of the world.
so go see the damn movie!
