Okay, then it's the "love of money!" So, who can get past this and answer the intended question?!

I think it was George Bernard Shaw who changed that around to: The lack of money is the root of all evil.

If you are attempting to quote the Bible, the actually statement is "the LOVE of money is the root of evil". Nowhere does God condemn having money, or wisely using it. Rather then are dozens of scriptures about the importance of properly using, saving, and investing your money.
What it is condemns is money having you. The love of money is when it has such a hold on you that you lie, steal, and cheat to get it. Properly using, saving and investing your money prevents that.
Something like a Christmas account, it which you place money aside weekly for a special goal, and avoid debt at the end of the year is a very wise and godly thing to do.
