Father God, I pray that the troops will have the strength of Caleb the son of Jephuneh, to both go out and to come in. Bring them safely home . In Jesus name Amen
Caleb still went out to battle and came back in at the age of 85 years old. He trusted in God and was one out of only two original men who left Egypt with Moses and entered into the promised land of Israel . The other was Joshua. All the rest perished in the wilderness because of unbelief.... they did not trust God.

A good question...
In an assembly, you would probably not pray as you do when you pray in private.
How about starting with:
Praise and Thanksgiving
Confess and ask for forgiveness for sins (we all sin, and I am sure you can come up with some "general" sins)
Intercession, for the families of the Soldiers, our President and our Country
And of course Petition for Wisdom, Salvation, Safety.....
It is hard to make prayers personal, when you pray for a crowd.
Or simply, how about The Lords Prayer....followed by an explanation of what it actually says.......
If you are of the Holy Spirit, You Will Be Guided By The Holy Spirit.
Just some thoughts.....
As a Brother in Christ, I thank you for taking this important task upon your shoulders.
Sola Fide

The Lord's Prayer is good; the Serenity Prayer is another one.

Ask the living God for His hedge of protection to be around them. To give them strength and wisdom. To guard their hearts, minds and bodies while they are away or in combat.
That He would protect and keep their families strong while the soldiers are away. Give them strength and surround them with love, comfort and peace.
Pray from you heart, God listens and He answers prayers!

lol, holy ****. What is prayer to you? I thought it was speaking to God. Do you think it is some form of art and other people can tell you how to do it. When I was a Christian at least I understood that.

Pray from your heart, as though there is no one in the room with you but you & G-d. Be sincere. Express your core emotions. G-d is big enough to handle honesty. Be real & full of integrity.

Anybody who believe in God could ask a prayer to Him either soldier, civilian , minister, and any sort of lief in this world. It is not specified what to pray if you are a soldier. Study this veerse:
Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
