Christianity-the earth IS over billions of years old, and it is proven by an always-right system of dating. (not really possible, but still.)

Atheists-Some form/sort of g/God appeared in front of millions.

And so on.

So how would you react? Just wondering. I'm Christian, by the way. No snide comments, please.

hghostinme, I know that God has already proven it, and I already stated that I am a Christian, but I'm just curious about other people's reaction.

FreeMind, I said that ALWAYS correct, not accurate, but correct. Thanks for telling me about it though.

Guess I can't stop you guys from making snide comments.

I will be sad for a while. And try to search further about the evidence.
I have faith, but not blind faith. it's like one day, if someone tell me that I am in a cult, and showed me evidence against my teacher. I wont brush it aside and continuing in believing.

I'm an atheist and have been so since I heard of the god concept when I was seven.

If there was undisputed proof there was a super being within my reach I'd be a believer; I'd willingly and unashamedly admit I was wrong.
BUT that ain't gonna happen.
'He' has made NO known appearances since OT times.
Millions of innocent children continue to suffer and die.
Wars are still being fought in 'his' name.
Etc.

I could make some snide comment like Ronald Reagan got shot and lived AND John Lennon got shot and died, but you asked us not to, so I won't.

A universe WITH a god would be completely different to one without.

If Christianity was proven real then I'd convert from Atheist to a Christian but too bad theres no solid proof. There is a good reason why people become Atheists...

Fortunately, since I'm not of any particular faith or religion at the present time, I would hardly be effected. The evidence may even shape my beliefs and worldview, which is currently in a nefarious sort of state at the moment.

quite the choice!! there is not any longer one unmarried point out of Jesus in the finished Roman record - that's good - no longer one!!! on an identical time as he grow to be meant to have been around there have been dissimilar Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are nicely recorded!! there is not any longer a unmarried present day record from any source or maybe the bible mentions of him like another references weren't written till some years after his meant dying!! He grow to be meant to have been a extensive venture to the Romans and produced astounding miracles yet nonetheless no longer one present day record? Even the bible mentions of him like another references weren't written till some years after his meant dying!! Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a reasonably lack luster guy yet no point out of a Jesus, an ordeal or crucifixion that would actual have been used to make him seem brighter!! At superb he grow to be an amalgam of those others!!

Well if my beliefs were proved wrong with out a shadow of a doubt the what else can i do? it would be silly to go on believing something that just is not true. Do you still believe in Santa Clause or the tooth fairy?

Who is to say that when God created the earth, that He didn't create it already billions of years old. Maybe He created it as if it were billions of years old so it could support the right kind of atmosphere for life. I'm pretty shure that God created adam already grown up. So thats probably how He created the earth too. Already grown up. Or billions of years old.

I am a Christian..I know the Earth is millions of years old..Not all Christians are creationists! I can't think of any hard tangible evidence that GOD doesn't exist!

It would have to be absolute, irrefutable evidence. But if such evidence were presented, then I would likely adopt a modified worldview that was supported by this hard evidence.

I have seen no evidence that the methods used for dating the earth are correct. To the best of my knowledge, they all rely on assumptions that are unverifiable.
