Why are the sins of ther father put on his children of those who hate him. If my father was an atheist and taught me to be an atheist why should i be punished for his mistakes?

Will you be able to choose? Can you ask why? or how? Can you question the real meaning of the afterlife? Will it be possible to feel fear? Will you be able to dislike anything?

I'm a Christian. I don't understand why everyone has such a hard time with creation and who God is? Why does everyone disagree with the bible? it never contradicts itself and it has never been proved wrong. i think some people are just lost or they are too proud to accept the fact that there is someone greater than them. opinions? objections?

I cant stop admiring the religion of Islam for its beautiful teachings and morals when a very vicious campaign is being waged against it by intelligence agencies, media, intolerant christian fundamentalists and fanatic Hindu bigots. So many famous and well known personalities have embraced Islam and time and again its beauty shines and enthralls people. yehiya emerick, bilal philips, muhammad ali, yusuf islam(cat stevens), US navy officer heather ramaha, italian ambassador, kamala suraiya, famous indian writer, deputy director general of BBC, all these and other exceptional men and women testify the beauty of islam so that the hate mongers and others can follow light and embrace islam.

I just saw this question asked the opposite way(Pro-Choice/Christian) and thought it was quite interesting. I just wanted to see the other side of it too.

To me, it always seems that once a christian knows im an atheist, they seem to be extra smug and look down towards me. Like they think theyre better than me. Not that im bothered by this,(I actually find it kind of humorous) but has anyone else experienced this reaction from christians?

if not, then people are un-necessarily dragging that great guy into religion. He defnitely did a great sacrifice for his people.

( if he said he was god, he should be hallucinating )

I mean, it's kind of silly to believe that we were created by some divine sky mommy or daddy.

Here are two made up, extreme examples:

A man prays: "God, if you will give me a new expensive sports car soon, I promise You to never vote Democrat anymore ! I will always vote for the most religious Christian Republicans the rest of my life !"

A woman prays: "God, if you make my husband always treat me nice, and he will always buy me expensive presents on all of my birthdays and every Christmas, I promise You that I will never ever make any more bets on the ponies at the racetracks on Sundays !"

To read about the alleged terrible "bargain" of Jephthah, see in the Old Testament, Judges 11:29-39 No wonder that I have never heard of any man today being named Jephthah !

Does our all-wise Father God ever accept any bargains?

Please give some examples from your actual experiences and/or in the Spirit of Truth. Thank you !

Peace and progress !

I am a Christian and I want to know how many Christians there are out there. So if you are a Christian please tell me if you are and what kind. And if any of you have any tips on how to create good Christian habits that would be great!!! Like how to get used to getting up early for devotions, and anything like that. Thanks a lot.

No - "I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world." (John 12:47)
Yes - "He [Jesus] is the one ordained by God to be judge of the living and the dead." (Acts 10:42)
Aw man another bible contradiction.

There is no need to exhaust yourselves in the search for the Lord; He is there like butter in the milk, like the children in the egg, immanent in every atom of creation. He does not come from somewhere or go somewhere else. He is there, here, everywhere. From microcosm to the macrocosm, He is everything.

Yes - "That the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles." (Acts 26:23)
No - Lazarus (John 11:43-44), Jairus's daughter (Mark 5:22-24; 35-43), and the widow's son (Luke 7:12-15) were already raised from the dead before Jesus. There is also an Old Testament story about Elisha raising a child from the dead. (2 Kings 4:32-35)
I hate it when I come across such blatant contradictions.

My 15 year old daughter did yesterday right after Thanksgiving dinner. Since there is NO POSSIBLE WAY she can get to be with Jesus now, I made her pack up a suitcase then I dropped her off at the bus station.

What have other Christian parents done?
