You may not believed that there is God always loves you even though you did not know Him. If there is no God at all, Do you think there any one of us know about good deeds? All good things came from God and it's not coming from you and me. God initiated good because God is good all the time. When you say it kind of silly... someone invented a car so we can have a better transfortation. Is that make sense to you? Or it's kind of silly... that my granny made me a sweat shirt so you will not be cold in the winter time. Is that silly to you? Everything that been made by God have a reason. What would you do if your one and only dog hates you and try to bite you dearly? Are you going to hate your dog? Do you have reason to hate your dog or give it away to adoption? I'm just making points here. One day you will understand all of this when you have your own kids and starts rebellion.
Just remember God always loves you.

It depends what you believe God to be.
I believe that God is the power of love.
It's easy to believe in It. I see It in smiles - feel It in hugs - i have PROOF of God.
To me - It's not a big daddy in the sky that grants wishes - and judges us after we die. It's love. And - we can use the power of love through us.
So - I don't think it's "stupid" to believe in God. Not at all.

Why? Everyday we find out something new about our environment or our solar system. Just because we haven't proven Gods existence yet doesn't mean that he isn't real.
