I'm a Christian. I don't understand why everyone has such a hard time with creation and who God is? Why does everyone disagree with the bible? it never contradicts itself and it has never been proved wrong. i think some people are just lost or they are too proud to accept the fact that there is someone greater than them. opinions? objections?

biblio- wow. anyone else. if you think the bible contradicts itself then give a reference. and ps, scince has NOT disproved creation. science books change dramatically year after year because they are still learning thigs. the bible has never been changed.

Okay...contradiction:
The New Testament consists of four gospels.
None of which agree with eachother.
Have you ever read the bible?...I mean, you're Christian so I'm assuming you haven't.
Two of the gospels don't even tell the story of Jesus's birth, and the two which do are VASTLY different, disagreeing on the hometown of Mary and Joseph, even on the people who witnessed the birth. The nativity scene is never even mentioned in the bible.
So how about archaeology? Are there any contradictions there? Prove to me your god exists. "The dibeliever need never to prove the believer is wrong. The believer has to prove he is right."

I have problems with creationism because, amongst other things, most people have a hard time picturing a hand coming down out of the sky to plant the first man and women on earth.
Then, of course, there is the small matter that chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis flatly contradict one another. According to Genesis 1 the animal creatuion came first, followed by humans, according to Genesis 2 humans came first, and then the animal creation. The compilers of Genesis must have noticed that, but they, of course, didn't think they were reading a literal account of creation.
Add to that the fact that the oldest rocks so far found are about 3.8 billion years old, then believing in a 6,000 year old earth begins to look a bit daft.

I'm a christian too. But I differ from your views.
Why does everyone disagree with the bible? -
How many other holy or religious books have you read or known, to claim everyone has to agree to bible ? Each one of us were born and grown in different religions and have read (red) our respective holy books.With that background, It isnt easy to agree to your debate saying bible is the best and to be agreed and accepted by everyone.
Would you agree if I told you some other religious book is undebatable and to accept it as the truth and the best book?

Everyone else who is not a christian here, would have the feeling that you are probably lost or too proud not to accept or even discover what other relgions or even atheists have to say or manifest.
And as far as bible contradicting itself, thats a larger debate which I doubt if we can answer ourselves easily.Every holy book has become questionable to human beings and now its only upto the super power (GOD whoever it might be ) to help us understand which religion or holy book is right.

haha you have just entered the lions den my friend.
They do not believe in creation because there is no proof that they can see and trust. They are generally fact based people. They need proof and science, not faith and optimism.
As for the bible thing, many of these people are copy and pasting what they have read that other people have found as contradictions. Many of these people don't actually understand the bible, just believe what is told to them. Which to me defeats the whole purpose of science and reasoning. Not all are like this though.
People have all different reason for there faith, or lack of. You'd have to ask each individual person to understad.
