If Adam had not sinned, would he eventually have gone to heaven?
Must a person go to heaven to have a truly happy future?
What are your thoughts on these things? Please use the Bible where possible.

Who will survive and where will they be?

After reading another members post about Jeremiah 10...

"Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good."

I have to wonder! If you are to follow the bible, why is this little passage disgregarded?

I want to hear from both sides, and why. How do you feel about the Catholic church telling its followers what type of presidential candidate to vote for? Or in some cases, which one candidate to vote for? Isn't that a violation of mixing church and state affairs? Wouldn't then (theoretically) the Catholic church be able to "sponsor" a strongly Catholic candidate, and tell its followers to vote for him? I want to make something clear, I am a Protestant, or at least that's what I have been labeled by the Catholic church, and I have no hate against Catholics, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. My "religion" isn't perfect, but we cannot judge a religion by its members, we judge it by its beliefs. If we didn't, Catholicism would be just as taboo as Nazism. Hitler professed to be Catholic, remember? But all in all, do you think it's right for the church to do so or not?

"This is what Jehovah has said, the King of Israel and the Repurchaser of him, Jehovah of armies, 'I am the first and I am the last, and beside me there is no God'."

Who is the First and the Last of Isaiah 44:6?

Now read Revelation 1:17 (again from the New World Translation): "And he laid his right hand upon me and said; 'Do not be fearful. I am the First and the Last, and the living one; and I became dead, but look! I am living forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and of Hades'."

Who is the First and the Last of Revelation 1:17?

I'm a Muslim, and one of my friends invited me to "Maundy Thursday" in a couple months. He says it's a footwashing service and a very humbling experience. What's it like? Do I have to do anything? Should I tell them I'm Muslim so they do something different for me or something?

I've been reading through the message boards all morning and left and right I read, "Misery loves it's company," in reference to atheists. A question I have for people who have either used this quote, believed this quote, or just have a little insight on this quote:

Do you honestly believe that because I do not share faith in your God that I am miserable, or does it just facilitate making you feel better about your own faith, and people who don't share your same faith and views?

the big bang theory is honestly, retarded and stupid. so many scientists have changed their view because the more they study evolution, the more wrong they find it to be. who honestly believes we evolved from apes? come on people. someone made us, who was here from the beginning of time. who rejects it?

It is quite true that the Church decided to put their new holiday, Christmas, on the same day on which a Pagan celebration was once observed. But I hear so many people who seem to be saying that Christmas came from, or is derived from, a Pagan holiday. This is simply not true.

Christmas is simply observed by Christians on the same day that Pagans once held a holiday or event.

Am I right about this?

I posted a question last night. It was talking about a problem I was having in regards to mental sex. I'm not a pervert or anything. I'm a Christian wanting to live a life that is pleasing to God. I reached out here at yahoo answers and was given a violation. I don't think that was fair. I find allot of times that christens or "church folk" don't really want others to get help from there sins. I think that they want to go to heaven all by themselves. I wonder who helped them with there sin when they where new in the faith? Or maybe they are just pretending to be delivered.

It was the second time this week! How can I get my son to stop acting in such an unGodly way! Is there some special chastity belt or cream Christians can buy to keep him from accessing his sin point?

My pastor suggested that he be forced to confess his sin openly in Church, but it hasn't stopped him.

What to do???
