God did not start any religion.
Men started them all.
Which is why I've said so many times that Bible based Christianity is not a religion. Its a relationship with God.

It's not about religion, it's about relationship.
Religion is man's way of trying to reach God. Relationship is God's way of reaching us, through Jesus Christ.
It all started when He created Adam...and it has continued since.

...God (YHVH) never started any "religion"... Religions are the doings of "man"... God never started any "religion"... He established a "favored" group of people of whom He blessed and clearly stated He would bless all those who would bless His chosen people.... God made a Way to reach Him... He came to "us" in the form of a Man and became one of us. He taught us and left us with His Word... It's about a relationship with Him...not a "religion" that trys to reach Him...

Followers of Jesus Christ became known as Christians by the people of Rome.
God started giving laws from creation if this is what you are calling a religion.
