If he waits long enough no one will believe in him as hell will have been put on the shelf next to all the other myths.

Proof I have been in two separate chruches recently and they are empty, there are more shadows than people there. Second proof the removal of your god from everything, people are waking up and turning away from the myths of the past.

people have been saying he would return soon for the last 2000 years. I've already put him up on the myth shelf.

Obvioulsy you don't know the Word. Jesus said that the Gospel of the Kingdom would be preached in all nations, then the end shall be. Then also God is pouring out His Word & His Spirit in all nations. So? This is world revival, not the falling away. Then the rapture. Then the falling away. Then the antichrist, beast & false prophet. Then the wrath of God. Then the return of Christ with all His Holy Angels & Saints.

There are many being born of God, Gods way, every day. Today. Right now. Now is the time of Salvation!

That is one of the signs that the Bible mentions.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

However, don't forget this passage.

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1) He will not return until all language groups have heard the Good News.
2) Who says there are less believers? Just because there may be less believers in the U.S., doesn't mean there are less worldwide. Right now there are new believers and churches popping up all over Asia, South America, India, Africa. ( there are more Christians in China than in the U.S., and Christianity is illegal there ).

PS. The congregation at my Church has doubled in the past three months.

Actually Christianity is on the rise in many parts of the world. Overall growth is about 1.3% annually.

Churches in America have been in a state of transition, with the "mainstream protestant" churches losing membership to non-denominational/mega churches.

No no no.

That is the fatal mistake.

Satan will come first playing God (Christ).

Study.

Then the true Christ will return.

What makes you think there are less believers everyday? When I look around me, nothing has changed

He's not coming back and it's "every day", not "everyday". The one word version means commonplace or normal.
