Must a person go to heaven to have a truly happy future?
What are your thoughts on these things? Please use the Bible where possible.

John 8:23: “[Jesus Christ said:] ‘You are from the realms below; I am from the realms above. You are from this world; I am not from this world.’” (Jesus did come from the spirit realm. But, as Jesus said, other men did not.)

Rom. 9:10-12: “Rebekah conceived twins . . . When they had not yet been born nor had practiced anything good or vile, in order that the purpose of God respecting the choosing might continue dependent, not upon works, but upon the One who calls, it was said to her: ‘The older will be the slave of the younger.’” (Of course, if the twins Jacob and Esau had lived previously in a spirit realm they certainly would have built up a record based on their conduct there, would they not? But they had no such record until after their birth as humans.)

Adam - Gen. 1:26: “God went on to say: ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.’” (So, God’s purpose for Adam was that he be caretaker of the earth and of the animal life there. Nothing is said about his going to heaven.)

Do we have to go to heaven to be happy? - Ps. 37:11: “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”

Rev. 21:1-4: “I saw a new heaven and a new earth . . . I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”

Mic. 4:3, 4: “They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making them tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken it.” (So the answer is no, we will have a happy future here on the earth.)

If Adam had not sinned then there would not need to be a heaven for earth would have been wonderful and death would not entered in the first place. Adam would be alive today. And since Adam did the sacrifices (someone had to have taught Cain and Able what was to be done) as required by the old testament-with the blood of the sacrifices "covering" for the sins committed why would you think Adam did not go to heaven?

No. Some think that because God "knew" us before we were born that means we existed in some 'ether' space before being given a human body. The Bible doesn't describe such a prior existence. He created angels with unique personalities, other heavenly creatures, earthly animals and plants, and He created the first man and woman, giving each a spirit-soul to occupy their bodies. Except for heavenly creatures all others have been reproducing, dying, and continuing their kind as well as possible, some becoming extinct. Each human is given a unique person hood, a spirit like that of God, to fill each little flesh body, a being in the image and likeness of God with a specific mission on Earth. Animals don't exhibit a human-like unique person hood. None are remembered for their inward "self" like we can identify departed people by their former contributions in art, poetry, speeches, expressions of genius, etc. Once created, the "spirit-man" never ceases to exist, living eternally present and future.

No, I would have stayed in the Garden of Eden... not Heaven! Adam was created in God's image and he was expected to mate with some of the animals that God created , but they didn't find a help mate for Adam so God created Eve as an after thought. Also, sexual life in Heaven must be very very lousy or the female angels very ugly and prudish... a lot of Angels came down to Earth to copulate with the girls from around here! Gen 6:1-2 ...

The Bible tells us that GOD says "I knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb". So, this coupled with MANY, MANY near death experiences....talks of those whom experienced these NDE say that there are places in heaven where all of the aborted babies live. Now, those are all accounts of people who span the globe, and this just cannot be the subconscious coming thru in time of distress and trauma, for all who have experienced these things tell eerily SIMILAR accounts of seeing babies yet to be born. I cannot say for sure, but the above scripture seems to back these experiences up!
As for your next question: I must say, I have never thought of this before...that is truly unique. To me anyway. But this is another unknown; because the Garden of Eden was PERFECT....and man (as in the only two humans at the time) lived in perfect communion with God the Creator. They talked with Him daily....I just do not see how that would have played out?
Since angels and men (humanity) are both equipped with free will, then it is seemingly destined failure. No matter how perfect a creation the LORD makes; hence "Lucifer".....when given free will and free thought...has proven to go the direct, and polar opposite of the HOLY ONE's attributes..mankind failed too.
These are good questions; but I do not have a concrete answer for you. Im sorry.

I believe that some of us did exist with God, prior to this life.

Romans 8:29-30- For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Who says Adam isn't in heaven? We have all sinned, does that exclude everyone? It matters not if Christ hadn't incarnated yet. He was there from the beginning.

Romans 3: 23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

There is no future outside of heaven, except for an earthly future during our short sojourn here on earth. There is no hell or place of torment for eternity to punish sinners.

Revelation 1:17-19-
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. "Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is NOW and what will take place later.

There is little consensus upon whether a soul is created within in a living being upon birth, or whether the body simply serves as a conduit for an already established spirit entity (to see nothing of arguments for developing a soul due to virtue and experience, or of there being no souls at all).
I could have sworn that Eden was Heaven...and that Adam was immortal until he ate the fruit.
You can pretty much have a future happy on earth. If you rely too much on a hypothetical afterlife, it may be that the entirety of your real existence on Earth was made miserable due to hopes for a compensation afterwards, that never occurred.

Our souls were all created from God's thoughts, and as He breathe into them our spirits were entwine with the soul. We all knew God as that has happened, and we were sent on our way to be redeem.
For some of us now this is our first life, many of us have lived a pass life, and eventually as we learn and build up our spirits full of knowledge from so many life's, we eventually retire in heaven for all eternity.

If you are not born yet, what would that spirit consist of? You as a child or adult? There is growing evidence that the story of Adam & Eve is purely symbolic. Consider that Adam & Eve's children had no one to have children with other than members of their own family. Don't overlook that crucial fact.
