I posted a question last night. It was talking about a problem I was having in regards to mental sex. I'm not a pervert or anything. I'm a Christian wanting to live a life that is pleasing to God. I reached out here at yahoo answers and was given a violation. I don't think that was fair. I find allot of times that christens or "church folk" don't really want others to get help from there sins. I think that they want to go to heaven all by themselves. I wonder who helped them with there sin when they where new in the faith? Or maybe they are just pretending to be delivered.

I don't know if some Christians avoid talking about sex. But I've noticed in many occasions that the topic of sex is not accepted as a normal topic to talk about in social practice. Especially in eastern parts of the world. In middle east it is a taboo to talk about sex. This very attitude is like a scar on this beautiful way of expressing love. If some people consider its not good to talk about sex, then should l assume they would recommend not to have sex at all? That would not make any sense, would it? Sex is a divine thing. Its the mating of mind body and soul of two lovers. But misuse of sexual energies or promiscuity is not supportable though. With purity of mind sex can be talked about even in churches and temples. I think we just need to be compassionate to those who are still shying to talk about sex and eventually this topic would get a "normal" tag

Part of it stems from the fact that many of our early colonists were Puritans. Puritans regarded anything "of the flesh" to be an offense to God...including procreation. Despite this amazing attitude they managed to reproduce anyway. Today, we're still stuck with their uptight legacy.

If you think Christians are NOT afraid to talk about sex, then ask them why they fight so hard against sex education.

I missed your question but I have come to notice the same thing you have. I dont know what is so scary about sex that they refrain from talking about it. There is nothing wrong with sex, it was a gift from God given to a man and a woman joined in wedlock to share.

I can't explain the actions of other people -- I can only explain what *I* do, so I can't explain this. If you feel your question was removed improperly, you can appeal to the "Yamster" for reconsideration. The violation notice you received explains how to do that.

I'm a Christian and talking/writing about sex doesn't bother me at all, so please don't generalize.

I missed it. You cannot judge all Christians based on a few answers from Yahoo.
It's unfair.

Christians are not afraid of talking about sex.

In my work with high risk teens and young adults, I deal with sex questions all the time - ask anything you want.

You could repost the question but put the real question in the 'details'. I would love to see it. I love sex and love to talk about it.

Some believe it's immodest or immoral behavior to talk about sex.

When I was new in faith, I continued to pray that God would renew my mind and to give me a mind like Christ.

However old you are that is how long your mind has adapted to the way you think. Don't think it will happen overnight, but know that it will.

Know that:

Thoughts become words, words become action, action becomes character, character becomes habit and habit becomes destiny. So, your destiny begins with your thoughts.
