If He created one race, then what do you think was the primary race before evolution takes place?

God created man and woman in the first place. (one race) When the sin entered to human kind then it happend everything. Human became selfish and doing a lot of stupid things that is not glorifying God. Mankind became rebellion to his Maker and begin to built a building to reach the sky. "The Tower of Babel ] At one time all the people of the world spoke the same language and used the same words." [Gen. 11:1]

Genesis 11:9 (Whole Chapter)
That is why the city was called Babel, [ Or Babylon. Babel sounds like a Hebrew term that means “confusion.”] because that is where the Lord confused the people with different languages. In this way he scattered them all over the world. [read the whole chapter 11]. Yes, the Bible did not mention the race of the mankind here. For my own knowledge it is really matter? If God did not mention about it do not matter to me? The important thing that we love each other like what Jesus did. The story of the woman on the well. She was a Samaritan. On that time even now Jews and Samaritan did not like each other because of their mix race. So, If you know God, Love thy neighbor as you love your self. Who is your neighbor? Everybodies all around you, white, black, red, brown, yellow, dog, cat, trees, bugs...everything that has breath praise the Lord! Even the Muslim, hindu, buddah, kabalah, scientology and some other cults. God loves them all and we need to extend God's love to them. Apostle Paul said " the important of all is love." The love of God will unite us all...
May the blessing, love, joy, peace of our Lord Jesus Christ reign in your heart forever more...

Jerry, I didn't read anything about religious division in the question.
God created the human race to be diverse and tolerant of each others differences, cultures and beliefs. unfortunately this is a strong sounding board for those who are racial purists (If God did this then why inter breed and screw it up).
The tower of babel was a tower built to reach the heavens by a united humanity, all speaking a single language. God saw that humans would be able to do whatever they set their minds to, so he confused their unified language and scattered them through out the world. Since that time we have all evolved into the different racial groups that make this planet so diversified. It's just a pity that we are not more unified when it comes to issues of world hunger, pollution, and health.

God created one race. Genetics and surroundings evolved man into what he is today.

We have no idea what race God made in the beginning. That was many generations before the Jewish race came into being, so we cannot say it was like them. Probably a reasonably fair race since the colors seem to grow darker as they intermarry instead of staying whiter.

At Babel, God changed the languages of the people, but we have no reference He changed their looks.

This is one word I wish had not been corrupted. There is only one human race on the planet. There are a multitude of different ethnic groups, that have risen in different areas, much as similar animals of the same species look different in different locations.

I believe God created one race, but over time different customs, skin colors, and traditions have arisen based on where people have lived.

He created the human race. It's been scientifially proven that all the races on the earth could be traced back to 2 people - Adam and Eve perhaps. At the tower of Babel he divided the people because in their unity they were becoming powerfully evil. God created Adam and Eve, they didn't evolve.

God only created one race. As a punishment , at the tower of Babel, He separated the races and languages and sent them to all the corners of the Earth.

god is blind to race. the climate and country out ancestors appearances.

or maybe this is a better answer. God created different racial group to teach us how to love one another no matter how different we may be and the easiest way to judge at first sight by race.

Initially God created one man and one woman. But it is apparent from the natural revelation of God's character that He loves to show off the diversity of His creative nature in the many and marvelous types of plants and animals that He has made.

Psalms 104:16 The trees of the LORD are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. 17 In them the birds build their nests; the stork has her home in the fir trees. 18 The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers. 19 He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting. 20 You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about. 21 The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God. 22 When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens. 23 Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening. 24 O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

Another reason that is mere speculation on my part could be that God created different racial groups to test people to see if they would love others who had been created in God's image as they themselves had been or whether they would use differences in appearance and culture as an excuse to exercise their sinful natures.

John 15:12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Colossians 3:11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all. 12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

As to what the primary race was, you have to look at Genesis 10 to see why there are different races on the earth today.

Genesis 10:1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.... 5 From these the coastland peoples spread in their lands, each with his own language, by their clans, in their nations. 6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.... 13 Egypt fathered Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, Casluhim (from whom the Philistines came), and Caphtorim. 15 Canaan fathered Sidon his firstborn and Heth, 16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the clans of the Canaanites dispersed.... 21 To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, children were born. 22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. 24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah; and Shelah fathered Eber. 25 To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan. 26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

30 The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar to the hill country of the east. 31 These are the sons of Shem, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. 32 These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.

So you could easily know and recognize x, y and z of such and such race, colour, nationality, tribe, ethnicity, place, etc., etc., from x, y and z of such and such other race, colour, nationality, tribe, ethnicity, place, etc., etc. In short its a means of identification only, nothing more nothing less. This is what is said in the Holy Quran of the Muslims!

“O Mankind! We have created you from a single male and a single female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you in the sight of God is he who is the most pious among of you. Verily, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware.”

Hujurat: Chapter 49; Verse 13.
