...in this forum come back immediately and tell the questioner that this is not true Islam and the questioner needs to study more. My question is, how can you say from what little you know, that the laws of those Countries are wrong? The Lawyers, Judges and the People say those are good Islamic Laws and they want them enforced. Why do you people in this forum keep telling the Non-Muslims that this is not true Islam? All of those Countries cannot be wrong just because you in this forum don't want people here to know the truth.

No, you cannot. If you could, you would be wrong when you knew it was going to happen.

This is why God cannot be omniscient and omnipotent. If he were omniscient, the future would be set in stone and he wouldn't be able to change it. That would mean he wasn't omnipotent.

I grabbed a little book called "Skeptics and True Believers - The Exhilarating Connection Between Science and Religion" by Chet Raymo. Anybody read it? What should I watch for, or watch out for?

Sometimes I wonder if I express well enough to my two sons how precious they are to me. I would hope that I do, but life gets busy, you know? I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'd like to make an extra effort to be the best mom I can be.

What about you? Do you feel like you're the best parent you can be or are there areas of your parenting you wish you could improve upon? What are those areas? How could you improve?

Or is this just a cop out used to cancel out the need for reasonable and logical thinking?

Can I use it to explain my recent screw ups at work?

without studying both sides of the issue and all that each issue represents within its own structure so as to be enlightened to its claims, how can you say what you really know on the subject or give a view fairly without equal portions to both sides in acquiring information? Without this aren't you just spouting misinformed, half baked notions? And woudn't that make 75% of the posters here just basing information on heresay over the years and half tibits of information to form their thoughts on? Outside of those who have study religion and its interpretations it seems like a lot of hot air flying around here.

Why do you think they are "real tools to contact the other side" when you disregard everything else as "just a toy"...

Tsn't this a little silly?

Its just as reliable as those paper toys girls make in high school with the colors and the numbers...(what are those things called?)

about C.S. LEWIS? wasnt he one of the most logical thinking men according to the atheists (so ive heard what some atheists in the past said)? then he set out to disprove Christianity but found that it was actually true to him, and then became a christian himself. what does that say to you? that a man who hated the belief of an actual God that actually love you and that you can go somewhere thats a paradise by doing the simple task of accepting Jesus Christ as God's son and your Savior, can go try to disprove it all, end up being changed to believe it all, then writing a book called "mere christianity" to encourage christians saying "this is why christianity is true".

what do you think about that? please give sensible answers

A lot of people dont know this, but the bible predicts that there would be imposters in the land of israel that would claim to be the original hebrew israelites while the real hebrews would be scattered throughout the world. Dont say that the palestinians are because they never claimed to be the hebrew israelites.

If we, the human race, discovered in some way, we were created by a more intelligent species, what would you feel about your past beliefs? Would you accept this and is it possible that whatever created us was similar to this because we would never, ever truly know? Would you still call yourself "a child of God" even if this were true? I mean think about it, it would be a perfect plan. A species creating us, making us believe in fictional stories and ideas about what God really is, or Jesus, or prophets, or miracles. It is ultimately the most perfect plan because there is never peace.

... you'd have to sacrifice the life of your child, would you allow it to happen? He'd give you the choice, and if you said no he'd go away and you'd never have to worry about it.
