If you are an illigitamate child, what benefits are you denied in the catholic church. Is there anything that illigitamate children cannot have/be/receive? Why do they have to punish children of illigitamacy by labeling them as a product of sin?

During Mary Tudors reign over England, Catholicism was forced on the people, many protestants (or protestant leaders, can't remember which) were executed. They had no free will to believe what they wanted.

How can the Bible say that "God" gives us free will but if we don't believe in him or accept Jesus into our hearts, he will send us to Hell to be tortured for eternity? How is that free will?

And Christians, don't say accepting Jesus and believing in God is so easy because you cannot force a belief on yourself or force yourself to love someone. I tried until I was 14.

"An Atheist loves himself and his fellow man instead of a god. An Atheist knows that heaven is something for which we should work now - here on earth - for all men together to enjoy. An Atheist thinks that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue, and enjoy it. An Atheist thinks that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment. Therefore, he seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to know a god. An Atheist knows that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist knows that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man. He wants an ethical way of life. He knows that we cannot rely on a god..........

Since the Jewish people ripped off the "satan" construct doesn't it just make sense that Eve wanted to blame someone other than herself for taking fruit. And maybe it was really Adam who took the fruit first and God punished men by not being able to think with their right head most of the time.

What do others think, here is my opinion:

The Church is the "rock" of faith. For me that is what attracted me to Catholicism. You must understand that I had become extremely disillusioned with the constant changing of theological positions in my previous church. This, I believe, is typical of Protestant churches, in that, they are just more worldly, adapting to the changes in secular morality instead of holding firm to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. A few examples would be ordination of women, homosexuals and embracing of new gospels such as the prosperity gospel which in my opinion is ........

On a side note, why do they think we evolved from a bunch of dim-witted monkies? I have read the Bible SEVERAL times, and it never says a thing about evolving from monkeys. But, it does state that we was created by Gawd.

In the November 26th edition of the TIME magazine I was reading of an interesting article called' Going after the Money Ministries" Where a Senator Grassley will be looking into the high spending of TV evangelists such Joyce Meyers, Benny Hinn, Eddie Long, Paula White, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland. Personally, do you believe the lifestyle and living of these brothers and sisters matches the kind of life a christian should be living? We live in the New Testament dispensation.. in the dispensation of Grace and of the Church. What New Testament pattern, from the Lord Jesus to Peter or Paul, or any of the believers did we see such an extravagant kind of lifestyle? Personally I feel bothered about this. What are your honest views as CHRISTIANS on this kind of lavish lifestyle. Some use the Old testament examples to support their lifestyle. What do you think?
