Ok, someone asked last night about what it would take to restore "traditional morality" in the United States. In your opinion, what is "traditional morality"? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? Has morality really gone downhill, or are we looking at the past through rose-colored glasses?

Lots of liberals and modernists love to talk about Tolerance. If Tolerance is the theme of the day, then why do I always get reported even when I'm trying to be a nice guy?

Yesterday I posted a joke to lighten the mood. Everyone thought it was funny (except for one jackass named Kiwi). Today, the old "Violation Email" came in.

Now, the mighty Catholic Crusader is use to this, what with my astounding record of 19 suspended accounts and untold numbers of deleted posts. So, I'm not whining. But: Reporting a joke, which (almost) everyone enjoyed? Come on man, can we have a little joy of the season in here? Yahoo screwed up and let me get to Level 2. Can I at least be a Level 2 guys?

I have read here several times that the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is not mentioned in the Bible. The word "Trinity" is not but it is confirmed as Jesus spoke to and mentioned the Father many times, that He promised the coming of the Holy Spirit who was present at his baptism, and he of course is the Son.
God in three persons clearly presented by Jesus...

I'm beginning to think that these Islamonuts are not outliers - they're the norm. The ruling of the Saudi court in that poor woman's rape case is just so appalling. No "religion" can possibly justify that sort of disgusting result.

You watch the news, and see the signs of the times.
Soon to be woman president, Iran future plans against
the Jews, hypocrisy in the church, famine, floods,
fires, Cuban and African genoicide. Scandals, lies,
pedophiles, war and rumors of wars. Like Russia
and China going up against the US. Religious
tyrants, atheism, anarchy, and much much more.
In the Bible, it talks about the End Times. Do you
believe that we are in that period ? Hey my Muslim
friends, you can talk with us too. Best answer wins. *

"The Last Supper"?

if you are Leonardo Da Vinci and you only intended to put into canvass how you picture the last supper of Jesus with His apostles (nothing more, nothing less), and one day you found out that someone, like Dan Brown, decided to make a big deal out of your painting about it having codes, what would your reaction be?

Natural Law, the philosophical concept under which this nation was founded (and the source of "unalienable rights") depends on a higher power; namely a God that set into order Nature and the rights which we derive from her. This concept was furthered by John Locke who had a profound influence on the founders, and established that life, liberty and property (i.e. the pursuit of happiness) are endowed by the "Creator".

Given that Western Democracy is completely dependent on this concept and therefore an acceptance of theism, how does the typical atheist justify an acceptance of western democracy? Or do atheists simply reject this concept (which may explain their political left-leaning tendencies and affinity for communism/socialism)?

After reading this article on Yahoo News, this rape survivors punishment became crystal clear to me. I am a muslim and thats it, I dont agree with Sheite Islam, they are in the same category as chrisitianity to me, lost. But no one deserves this. This poor girl was punished because she is Sheite! To which I object! For nation that considers itself the "custodian to the two holy mosques" you'd think they would treat fellow muslims better than this.

Anyone else think she was punished for being Sheite?

I was on vacation for a few weeks--and I just knew that while I was gone the whole religion debate would be solved here by the geniuses on R&S, and concrete answers would be agreed upon by all.

So, what was the result? What was the question/answer that brought about universal enlightenment?

I'm so upset that I wasn't here to experience it! ; )

What are your thoughts on the validity of the following way of thinking?

The definition of "supernatural" is basically anything that goes beyond the natural in regards to what is possible within the laws of physics. With that in mind, the supernatural cannot have any affect on the natural world that went beyond the laws of physics, as that would then make whatever it affected supernatural also. Either everything in our universe is natural and bound by the laws of physics, or else it is all supernatural and there is no way to predict anything at all about it's behavior.
