You watch the news, and see the signs of the times.
Soon to be woman president, Iran future plans against
the Jews, hypocrisy in the church, famine, floods,
fires, Cuban and African genoicide. Scandals, lies,
pedophiles, war and rumors of wars. Like Russia
and China going up against the US. Religious
tyrants, atheism, anarchy, and much much more.
In the Bible, it talks about the End Times. Do you
believe that we are in that period ? Hey my Muslim
friends, you can talk with us too. Best answer wins. *

Interestingly, there are a few traditions that talk about a dramatic change at this time in our history (the end of the Mayan calendar, Christianity's day of judgement, Science's global warming, Armageddon theories, the changes that come with the Age of Aquaurius, the Energy activity some people are talking about, etc.)

I am pretty sure that we are heading for a major change, though I do not think it will be The End. I believe a sort of day of voting, day of reckoning is approaching - at which time humanity as a whole will be assessed. I think those who think the world is ending will be weighed against those convinced that a renaissance for humanity is coming. Either it will make the decision for all of us (majority rules, of course) or there will be a split and we will each be able to live in the world that we wish to.

Interesting, certainly - and I am one of the ones who sees a renaissance in humanity. We could just as easily become a Star Trek society as we could destroy ourselves. The choice is ours and all we must really do is believe - it's all we really can do. No matter what tomorrow brings, I know that my chances of enjoying it are better if I can maintain a positive attitude and a positive outlook on the future. We will see what happens, I guess.

Peace!

The Islamic view
In the first stage of the End times the world will become degenerate because of the number of philosphical systems that deny God. Mankind will move away from the purpose behind its creation leading to spiritual emptiness and moral collapse. In the wake of great disasters, wars and suffering, mankind will seek the answer to just one question.
"Where does salvation lie?"...
Some of the sign:
The 2500 year Iranian monarchy collapsed
War broke out between two muslim nations, Iran and Iraq
Increase in Earthquakes and natural calamities
"The plague of the age" AIDs was identified
In 1982 all the Planets lined up in a row
Hole in the ozone layer confirmed

I do believe. Whether we are in that time or not is yet to be proven. In the Bible it says we will not know when that time will be. Even Jesus didn't know. Only His Father in Heaven knew. But when Jesus comes it will obvious to all that it is Him. I watch the news and think many times that this could be it. But if you look back in history you will see that many thought they were living in the End of Times. A perfect example would be the year 2000. So many people thought that was going to be it. I knew people that bought generators, stashed water supplies and stocked up on groceries because they thought it was coming. I try not to worry about it so much and just get through each day. It is something we have no control over so it's best to just live each day to its' fullest.

i do no longer think of that the Mayans knew precisely whilst the international could end and made a calendar that went up until eventually purely then. i don't have self assurance in any supernatural reasons for an end of the international, which brings all of it the way down to organic and human led to. however the sunlight might desire to no longer supernova, and that i've got no longer any theory how close meteors/etc might desire to be for scientists to be sure them and challenge that there'll be a power. ought to there be a substantial nuclear conflict that wipes out notably much each and every thing in 2012? i can't rule it out, yet i do no longer probably think of it is going to take place.

Yes the bible talks about a great trublation, it says that it will last for 7 years, but before this happens all christians will be taken out of this worl, 1 Thess 4 v 13-16, then during the tribulation people will need to take the mark in the right hand or forehead or they will not be able to buy or sell, it tells you all this in the book of revelation, then after this time the Lord Jesus will return and this period is called armageddon, please make sure you accept jesus as your Lord and saviour now, before its too late and you are left to go through the tribulation, jesus died for your sins and mine, you dont have to do any thing extra like some cults teach to gain salvation its a free gift, Eph 2v 8-9 " for by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves it is the gift of God, Not of works least any man should boast."

um ... you're using the term "theory" rather loosely here. and how funny that the idea of a woman president of the USA is somehow a sign of the "end times".

as for the rest of it all the hypocrisy of the churches, famine flood and flu, genocide and "wars and rumors of wars" it's like "so what else is new?". nothing going on now that hasn't always been going on in the world except that there are billions more humans to make a bigger and more complex mess.

PS. "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" ...
so middle finger back at ya, ya PINHEAD Fundy.

Only insofar as everything ends eventually.

I dare say that a hundred years ago people were casting a rueful eye over the world in which they lived and wondering if the end wasn't upon them. And a thousand years ago. And a million. In fact, from the time the earliest humans sat close to their camp fires they probably listened to the night around them and wondered about what horrors prowled around in the dark just beyond their range of vision.

Yet here we all are, still standing and still reinventing the same old wheels. And this with nuclear bombs instead of stone-blades at our disposal.

The time between the first time Christ came to this world and when he returns is the "end times". So yeah we're in the end times. Interesting that you should mention Muslims because they believe that Christ was around 2000 years ago (even if they misunderstand who he is and what happened to him) and that he will return. The first time he came was to make a way possible that we might be reconciled to God. The second time will be to judge the world. No second chances once we face him on that awesome Day of Judgement!

There have always been wars and rumours of wars and until recently all these events were only rumours because most people never actually saw them including famines pestilences earthquakes etc.
When the disciples asked Jesus regarding the END TIMES AND OF HIS RETURN What was he to tell them.? Would he say there will come a time when everybody on the planet will turn on their televisions and actually SEE All these things. Of course not. They would have thought He had gone mad.
