I'm Catholic for now, but sometimes I just want to quit.

Or maybe my question should be: Will I go to heaven if I don't believe in God?

No sin gets into God's Heavenly city, and all have sinned, and all must be saved. If you die in your sins, you cannot enter Heaven but will experience everlasting sorrow, weeping and torment in the Lake of Fire (Mt. 8:12; 13:42; 25:41,46; Rv. 14:11; 21:8, 27)!

I myself was raised as a devout and strict Catholic, with two uncles who were priests, but i was just like most everyone else in the Catholic church, which is spiritually dead. I never heard one message that could have brought me to realize my real need for salvation, bu when i was about 25 i sincerely repented and trusted Christ for salvation, and then realized a definite heart and life change which continued. I tried to serve God within the Catholic church as a lector and CCD teacher, but as i saw the clear contrast between the Bible and what happened to me (despite my faults) versus what Rome taught and produced, the LORD led me out into a born again church, That was the second best spiritual decision i made. And i urge all to give the sins and life directly to the Lord Jesus and follow Him. And never look back. He will make it worth it all.

Not if you're right not to believe in God.
(God, heaven and hell not existing)
Or if the God who exists isn't the one portrayed in the bible, but in some other religious text, or none.

There are varieties of Christians, a minority, who believe *everyone* is saved, somehow, somewhen, but I've looked at the arguments and I've never been at all convinced by them.

And it's never been mainstream Christian teaching, which is quite clear, at least as far as that non-believers perish as opposed to living forever.
Whether the perishing is eternal extinction or eternal punishment generates slightly more of a divide.

Ex-Christian atheist.

does the catholic church have any problems with the Hells Angels? Cause they are the real Hell.
or does the Hells Angels have any problems with the Catholics cause Hitler was a Catholic?
And If God of Heaven is called /eri then no you won't go to hell as described in the bible cause truthfully God of Heaven if named /eri don't beleive in heaven or hell. just life and death.

hmmm... perhaps the question shouldbe: if u don't believe in God why do u care? The fact that you worry about heaven and hell shows some belief. Maybe you should delve into the spirit of your religion, what it teaches and not too much following people and such. Thats usually what gets people exasperated, frustrated and disillusioned.

Your perception of God could change without condeming you to a hell that I firmly believe was over dramatized.

For example, if you said God is Energy...it's hard not to believe in enegy. Plus energy is everywhere and in everything.

The idea of hell was from a garbage dump they set on fire with sulfur and brimstone to keep it lit. It stunk and was full of rotting corpses and reeked of burning flesh...a pretty nasty place to be condemed to but a place that was Known as the velley of Gehenna, right outside Jeruselem....Today it would be like hanging out in New Jersey.

If you don't believe in god, then you certainly can't believe in Heaven or Hell. And if you are that worried about it, then you must still believe in god.
